The 9320 has visited more countries during its short gestation than some phones get to see in their whole lives, but it"s finally arrived. The specs are pretty much what we guessed, with the socially-focused BB OS 7.1 onboard, a 3.2-megapixel camera and typical Curve features like a 2.44-inch 320 x 240 non-touch LCD display, "super charged" 1450mAh battery, FM radio and a small, lightweight 103 gram QWERTY form factor. Same specs, different day, but then there"s also microSD expandability beyond the 512MB of eMMC, which can"t be taken for granted, plus a new feature in the form of a dedicated BBM key on the side. As for the 9320"s cheaper sibling, the 9220 shown above, we"ve already been hands-on at BlackBerry World and spotted that one of its main sacrifices is the camera: it"s only 2-megapixels and there"s no flash. That"s all 11,000 rupees ($210) and a police escort gets you.
Update: UK carriers have just announced their intentions. Three will offer the device from PAYG for £140 ($225) from May 14th, while T-Mobile will also have a 24-month contract option at £15.50 per month.

Being a big fan of BB, I purchased a BB curve 9320 few months ago. Initially, performance has been upto the mark except some battery backup issues, but later it started creating lot of issues- while using the phone it will get re-started/switched off frequently. Many times during call, it will stop working automatically. Handset got serviced three times under warranty period but the issue has not been fixed and more embracing thing is that even after replacing the battery, problem remains the same. Planning for one more round of service. During my first visit to redington service center guy in B"lore demanded Rs. 200/- for data backup service, but no data has been got stored in the memory device. Second time, the service guy advised to change the battery from the basement shop run by the service center guy. Rs 2300/- has been charged for a battery replacement and problem still exists as it is. Good luck to BB. Cheers, Sumesh.(read more)
i have bought grand quattro a month before, it"s battery life is soo bad, takes 6-7 hours to get fully charged and in 3-4 hours battery level comes to 0% and phone gets automatically switched off.
MANOJ, 11 Aug 2013I have been using this phone for 15 days and found it a mediocre set, not worth forking out Rs... morenow would you tell me that which service provider 3g speeds at 42mbps...at least india 7.2mbps is same as 42mbps because service providers don"t even cross the threshold limit..and you tell that u are experiencing the difference( a lie)....secondly you found cam on mmx better than samsung...dude i heard many people boasting about canvas" performance,processor...but none will say miltimedia package in canvas is better than any branded phone..dude its not the megapixels, its the sensor...and you used the phone for 30mins and u think u heavily used and judged the phone...even pro reviewers take at least a day"s time to tell you something about any hardware...
MANOJ, 11 Aug 2013I have been using this phone for 15 days and found it a mediocre set, not worth forking out Rs... moreHello Manoj, yes specwise canvas 4 is really amazing. Micromax has done it right with its 16GB internal memory. If somebody is a heavy gamer or planning to watch full HD(1080p) videos, then Quattro is definitely not the right choice. However, for all other uses Quattro is a really good phone. Regarding internet- right now very few service providers are supporting more than 7mbps. However, if you have a 3G SIM with more than 7mbps speed then yes, Canvas 4 would definitely give you better speed. I am not sure why you are getting so bad pictures from Quattro. I am getting really good photos from Quattro. However, in insufficient light if you dont use flash then you would get a bit grainy photos which is common in almost all smartphones. I have tested even S3/Note2 cameras and in low light you won"t get very good photos. The problem with Micromax/Karbonn brands is that since they mosty import the items and rebrand, you won"t get any software update if there is any issues with software. Nowadays even Samsung"s quality is going down. As you can see in one of my earlier comment, on the first day after buying Quattro the phone was getting auto shut off very frequently. However, that got fixed after I did the online software update. If the same would have happended with Micromax/Karrbonn, I am sure I would have to run to a service centre immediately since generally they don"t provide online software update. If there is any bug in software they usually don"t fix and they just come up with another mobile with "updated features. If you are lucky you might get a bug free Micromax/Karbonn but if there is any software issue you would be stuck. Another experience I have is that generally Micromax/Karbonn mobiles give very poor battery life since they don"t optimize the software properly. Looking at the specs of canvas4 since it has 2000mA for a 5 inch screen and a faster processor, I am sure your friend would be getting very poor battery life for canvas4. Quattro seem to be giving me a really good battery life. Qualcomm processors usually are optimized for low power and they give better battery life compared to Mediatek processors used by Micromax etc. I would provide detailed review later on on battery life of Quattro. Last but not the least, yes, the cost of Quattro should have been 15K instead of 17K, but I guess Samsung is going to reduce the price soon like they did for Galaxy core(already Flipkart has reduced the price of Quattro to Rs 15779). With a nice 4.7 inch screen and a good battery life and reasonably good performance(no lags on normal usage), Quattro is not a very bad phone in this price range, but it would have been ideal if Samsung had put 8MP camera instead of 5MP. However, if there are no software /hardware bugs then Micromax canvas4 seem to have amazing specs at less than 18K.
AnonD-168666, 11 Aug 2013My bro got this phone 1 month ago......in this device u can"t play 720ps video....I used MX pl... moreHello yo yo, since as per Qualcomm snapdragon 200 website this CPU supports 720p video playback, I thought of testing it with some samples downloaded from http://www.auby.no/files/video_tests/ . I tried a few 720p samples(6mbps and 3mpbs bit rate) and although it didn"t play properly with in built video player/Mx player, it was playing properly with VLC media player beta (for android). So can you pls download VLC media player from Google play and try out your 720p videos? Howevr, 1080p videos won"t play even with VLC. Max 720p is supported.
I have been using this phone for 15 days and found it a mediocre set, not worth forking out Rs. 17000. The 5 mp camera is extremely poor and gives unclear and grainy pictures. Net speed of 7.2 mbps is so pitiable. I feel to be cheated and I have committed a blunder by going for this. Samsung relies on its brand name(which is on the wane) and offers many such pieces of crap.
on the other hand My friend, Rakesh bought Micromax canvas 4 today on 11 Aug.I used his phone heavily for 30 minutes and found it fantastic.Net speed at HSDPA 42 MBPS was awesome(I am using samsung quattro with pathetic speed of 7.2)13mp camera is quite good.Display is nice and scrolling is great. the only thing i didn"t like was its flip cover.(But we can dispense with it). Barring this con the phone is matchless. i will certainly recommend this phone to all of you.
AnonD-168666, 11 Aug 2013My bro got this phone 1 month ago......in this device u can"t play 720ps video....I used MX pl... moreso u enjoy watching 720p videos on a tiny 2.44inch screen(its not 2.2)...good....now considering that price of bb 9320 is marginally less than quattro...it ain"t have dual sim, only 512mb ram, only 3.15mp cam,no secondary cam, a low ppi(164),512mb internal memory, no wifi hotspot and no dlna...and most importantly no android (that too jelly bean os)...so i think you only watch 720p videos on ur phone and make calls and txts....good luck..
My bro got this phone 1 month ago......in this device u can"t play 720ps video....I used MX player too.......but I was not able play in it.....such a big screen...wtf........I have blackberry 9320 curve in this I can play 720ps video easily, the screen is only 2.2 inch

most of the times its no signal and rare times one bar...but cant use 3g....on 2g signal is full...the funny fact is that last time i used reliance 3g was 3-4 months back at the same place where i"m now and at that time it was best for both speed and network....dun know what happened now
i hope new update will contain multi tap, can move apps to sd.. same like s3 before, after update, s3 have almost same function as note 2. like grand duos....
jonty007, 08 Aug 2013hahaha...reliance customer care they have few points memorized...like switch off-on,try anothe... moreYes, jonty. I understand your situation. So reliance customer service won"t be of any help. What is the signal strength you are getting in your mobile? Go settings-> About device->status. There you would get the signal strength in dbm for SIM1 & SIM2. Anything better than (-70dbm) would give you good speed. If it is less than (-90dbm) you would start getting slow speed and around (-100) or -105dbm it would just work sometimes and won"t work sometimes. Check the signal strength for SIM1 or SIM2 depending on in which Slot you have put your SIM. Do the same check after changing the mode to GSM and then see whether the signal strength is better. If you are getting poor signal strength only in WCDMA, then I think it would be mostly because reliance tower signal strength issue. Also, did you check with any of your friend who is using reliance SIM in your area?
