We offer the TFT module WF43WTYBEDSG0#000 designed to support the Arduino board. The control signal for WF43WTYBEDSG0 is 3.3V; it has a built-in storage device (FLASH 32M). The control signal of WF43WTYBEDSG0#000 is 5V; without a built-in storage device (FLASH); but with a MicroSD Socket, pins CON1~CON4 are designed for SPI control (such as for Arduino Uno Rev3). WF43W model can be operating at temperatures from -20℃ to+ 70℃ and storage temperatures from -30℃ to +80℃.

This 4.3" TFT screen has lots of pixels, 480x272 to be exact, an LED backlight and a resistive touchscreen overlay. Its great for when you need a lot of space for graphics or a user interface. These screens are commonly seen in consumer electronics, such as miniature TV"s, GPS"s, handheld games car displays, etc. A 40-pin connector has 8 red, 8 green, and 8 blue parallel pins, for 24 bit color capability. It comes with HX8257A controller and optional 4-wire resistive touch panel screen which can be easily controlled by MCU such as 8051, PIC, AVR, ARDUINO, and ARM. FPC with ZIF connector is easy to assemble or remove.

FocusLCDs.com sent me a free sample of a 4x3” TFT LCD (P/N: E43RG34827LW2M300-R) to try out. This is a color active matrix TFT (Thin Film Transistor) LCD (liquid crystal display) that uses amorphous silicon TFT as a switching device. This model is composed of a Transmissive type TFT-LCD Panel, driver circuit, backlight unit. The resolution of a 4.3” TFT-LCD contains 480x272 pixels, and can display up to 16.7M colors.

For this project, you would need the RA8875 driver board (available at AdaFruit for US$35) to interface the TFT display to the Arduino. It comes with a header which you can solder on as needed.
