Liquid crystal display is a display technology widely used in computers, flat-panel TVs, mobile phones and other devices. Compared with other display technologies, LCD displays have the following advantages and disadvantages:

Advantage:

1. Save energy. Liquid crystal displays use liquid crystal molecules to change direction under the action of an electric field to adjust the transmittance of light. Compared with traditional display technologies such as CRT displays, their power consumption is significantly lower.

2. High resolution display. The liquid crystal display uses light-transmitting liquid crystal molecules, and the handwriting and pictures displayed are better than traditional CRT displays, and are more delicate, slender, and textured.

3. Display size may vary. Traditional CRT monitors are very bulky, and it is difficult to achieve super large-scale screen display. However, the liquid crystal display can further reduce the size and weight, thereby greatly expanding the display area, and can achieve the resolution of a super-large screen to display work or entertainment highlights.

4. High light transmittance. The liquid crystal display allows natural light to penetrate and gives the picture a sense of transparency, so that the displayed content is clearer, more transparent and clear.

Disadvantages:

1. Limited viewing angle. Since the liquid crystal display uses the superimposition of black, white, and gray colors, the color of the screen will change when viewed from different angles.

2. Low contrast. Since the liquid crystal molecules cannot completely pass through the light without hindrance, in an environment with a strong light source, the display screen may reflect light, thereby reducing the transparency and contrast.

3. Black performance is poor. The black performance of liquid crystal display is not as good as that of LED display, because the liquid crystal molecules can only achieve light gray effect when they are fully charged with a positive electric field.

4. Color representation is limited. The liquid crystal display uses the projection of the primary color light CMYK in the three-color RGB, so when displaying different colors, it is difficult to achieve the ideal brightness and purity.

5. Limited processing speed: Liquid crystal molecules need time to adjust and switch directions, which determines the refresh rate of the display. Even if the modulated screen transmission technology is used, the response speed will still be subject to certain constraints
