TOKYO, March 31 (Reuters) - Sony Corpsaid on Wednesday it would sell a small and mid-size TFT liquid crystal display facility to Kyocerain June, in a bid to improve the efficiency of its LCD business.

The Japanese consumer electronics maker is selling its facility in Shiga prefecture, western Japan, where it designs and produces high-specification thin-film transistor LCDs that are principally used in more expensive consumer electronic products such as camcorders and digital cameras.

It will also start to make more widely-used amorphous silicon TFT LCDs, found in many mobile phones, from Thursday at a facility in Tottori prefecture that it bought from Seiko Epson Corp.

Hazardous Waste Permits: Businesses that generate or transport hazardous wastes must follow hazardous waste regulations. Businesses that treat, store or dispose of hazardous waste require a permit.
