Add my name to your list too. My Fitbit Charge 2 has a crack down the middle. Didn’t drop it or abuse it. Fitbit offered me a 35% discount on my next purchase. I’m afraid to purchase another because the screen on the new may crack as well.

My charge 2 also has a cracked screen. Add my name to the list. If I order a screen protector to keep it from falling out, will I still be able to use the touch feature?

My screen just cracked too. The battery was getting low, so I charged it. Then the following day it up and died on me. Thinking, “what the Hell, I JUST charged it?” I charged it again, put it on, and went to bed. The following day I noticed the cracks and since then, I’ve noticed that the battery life is not what it was either. Now, I’ve had the Charge 2 for maybe three years now, but I also have had a Timex Expedition for more than 30 years that still works. For the money I paid for the Fitbit, I want it to last like my Timex. Everyone needs to support the Right To Repair Act! I can’t stand this disposable society!

I would suspect that the cheap batteries used in production are swelling when recharged, pushing the display against the case front, causing an outward crack. Cheap LiPo’s do this after a few months. They probably figure 75-80% will make it past the 1 year warranty without visible effects, so that’s good for the ka-ching!!

This just happened to me today! I charged it, wore it yesterday and when I put it on this morning it’s cracked. It was not cracked when I took it off to shower last night. I’m so annoyed as I have taken good care of this…and actually have two of these. Please add my name to the list as well.

I am in the same boat – screen is cracked right down the middle from top to bottom. Watch still works but it not very aesthetically pleasing – people see it and point it out. It is that noticeable. I would like to be aware of any changes/updates to this class action law suit as well. Thank you.

I had the same issue with mine 2 vertical cracks on either side of the display. Checked the time to see when a show started, pushed the stroller to the show and had the cracks when I got there no bump t’s just heat and sun. Told it was not an issue and there were no issues by support that I was alone in the experience, and because it was 1 year 1 month old no warranty and 25% discount on their online shop still a higher price than most sales prices at the brick and mortars.

Same here…..thought I had done something but had no idea what it could have been. Now I know it wasn’t me. I will not be buying anymore FitBit products. If there is another class action, you can add my name.

I’ve purchased 2 Charge HR basically because on the first one the screen cracked so I purchased another thinking it world be better – WRONG!!!!! Instead of just cracking , the new one cracked in 2 places. All I can say is Fitbit products are atrocious – all I see are problems with their products and no resolutions what kind of company manufacturers products that basically self destruct … no wonder they don’t stand behind them and any type of warranty is a joke!!!! I’m looking into different fitness watches that will actually work. Fitbit all I can say are your products absolutely SUCK!

My Fitbit charge 2 has a vertical crack and I had purchased an extended warranty. I called before the warranty ran out but was told Fitbit doesn’t cover screen cracks. I wasn’t aware of this being a problem of many but is definitely a problem for me. Please add my name

This is the third time my Fitbit screen has cracked. The first time they replaced, the second time I had to buy a new one and I am in the process of seeing what they will do this time..Keep you posted.

My Charge 2 Fitbit just developed a vertical crack on the screen, too. There hasn’t been an impact to cause this. Add my name. I just want a functional device, not spend more money for a replacement/upgrade.

Yes please add me also I have a Fitbit Charge 2 that has two large side by side cracks down the middle of the face. I am not rough on my fitbit, never dropped it and had I known it had these issues I wouldn’t have bought it.

Looked down at my Fitbit Charge 2 and saw a vertical crack on the face, between the center and left side. Didn’t do anything to cause the crack, just wore it all the time like you’re supposed to do. I haven’t pursued getting it repaired as I have read that Fitbit won’t repair it. If that’s the case, please add me to the list of people dissatisfied with their Fitbit Charge 2’s cracked faces not being repaired or replaced.

Please add me to your list of those with Fitbit’s Charge 2 cracked screens. Mine is cracked horizontally across the middle, then vertically top down to that middle crack. I love my Charge 2 and can’t believe that so many of us have the same problem.

My screen on my Charge 2 just cracked this evening. I barely brushed into my countertop very lightly and then noticed it at dinner. Crazy how fragile it was.

Same issue here, I have a fit bit hr 2 that also cracked right down the middle, was never dropped and I have a crack right down the middle. Makes absolutely no sense.

my charge 2 cracked in first four months – it was replaced by fitbit after a tremendous amount of wasted time and effort. The replacedment has now cracked in two places after just 10 months of normal use. Please add me to the list

Both my husband and my Charge 2 fitbit screens have cracks! He replace is Charge 2 with a new one. The screens on these Charge 2 are cheap! My original fitbit which was over 5 years old is in pristine condition and no crack screen. Please add me to the lawsuit.

I spoke with FitBit customer support, nothing there except and offer of discount off purchase of a new product. Very disappointing response from Fitbit.

Same here. I even spent $50 putting nano glass protection for phone screens on it when I read they were prone to cracking. It just suddenly cracked, and they offered me 25 off an upgrade.

I have a versa the did the same ! Crack down the center, I have no idea how!! This was my 3rd to crack, I have had 4 fit bits. I now have a Apple Watch because Fitbit will do nothing for the consumer

Mine has fine exactly the same, cracked down middle of screen and also looks as though it has been pushed from inside out. Seems to have happened overnight whilst i was asleep

Add me. We found this site while my husband and I were looking at tutorials for ways to replace the cracked face mine has 2 cracks, one running down each side of the face.

My husband and I have had two different fit bit Charge 2’s each. All four have cracked vertically down the middle. They did replace one for me but it is one that has now cracked also. We did not drop or hit the screens against anything. They most recently refused to replace mine this month. Add us as well!

I am interested in getting in on the lawsuit also. I received my Fitbit Charge 2 as a prize at a conference. I noticed the other day that my screen was cracked as well, straight down the middle, but not even end to end.

My Fitbit Charge 2 face cracked without cause from top to bottom shortly after the 1 year warranty expired. It was purchased from Amazon on November 24, 2017. Other than the crack, which has made it no longer water resistant, the device works fine. I would just like them to replace the screen.

Same here – looks like the screen cracked by being pushed out, rather than being scratched or dropped – now a month or so later, it won’t hold a charge. Happy to send pics to whomever is building this case. Contacted support, nothing. Wish someone would build a more reliable tracker – this is my 4th dead fitbit. Please let me know how to hop on this case – class actions never do much, but maybe it’ll inspire a new company to do something better. Otherwise, it’ll be great to get a $2.50 check 2 years from now toward a different tracker… ;)

How do I get in on this lawsuit, something bought the Versa Fitbit from Amazon 5/23/2019 got warranty paid $212.00 for it. Months into wearing it, it just died and they replaced the face. Last Sunday I noticed a crack I call them they assigned me a reference number and had me send in photos of the crack screen. They told me that each member is only allowed 1 screen and that my watch was already replaced, what I don’t understand is I did not bump it into anything. I googled and saw that other people have the same crack screen image band fitbit is aware of this issue, they told me to buy another and they would give me a longer warranty. Why would I want to buy another Fitbit. I would be really stupid. I am so upset with the loss of my funds

Same here. I got it on Amazon and the screen cracked about 5 months in. I contacted Fitbit and They refused to replace it even though it was still under the 1 yr warranty. How to I get in on this lawsuit?

I am in the UK and my FITBIT Charge 2 Screen has split for no apparent reason! I understand there is only a year’s warranty on it from QVC whom I bought it from in 2018. I must say, I think a watch should last a bit longer than this! It is obviously a major defect with the watch, as so many people have made complaints! It is therefore ‘unfit for purpose’! I would like to be included in the Class Action please, as this is just blatantly unfair. I know it is now considered a throw away society’ but I thought we were trying to rectify this? How many FitBit Charge 2’s are destined for Landfill?! Please let me know if there is any success in this case? Many thanks, in anticipation. J Reeves.

mine too, 2 vertical cracks. this sucks. I was going to buy the Versa 2 but now i won’t and they don’t connect to a lot of newer phones either. what a bummer, because i really liked my watch.

I noticed a crack on the screen of my Fitbit this week. I did a online search and discovered this was quite common with the Charge 2. I have had mine several years, but for the price I expected it to last longer.

I just noticed my screen that my screen is cracked. It’s a raised crackdown the center of the screen from top to bottom. Almost like something was pushing outward from inside the Fitbit to cause the crack. It was just sitting on my desk charging overnight. It’s been well taken care of, no scratches on the screen other than this outward splitting of the screen.

I have had the same issue with my fitbit charge 2. Because it is over 12 months old I know its out of warranty, but this crack happened over night. I love my watch but so disappointed that this has happened. I have never abused it, was always careful with it. It seems to be an ongoing fault.

How do you join the class action lawsuit for Fitbit? I had a Charge 2 for a little over a year when it developed 2 cracks. All they would offered me was 25% off a new product.

Mine did the same, top to bottom just right of center. Looks like it broke from inside pushing out. Include me in. Mine broke on the charger. I suspect most others did too.

Same issue here. Crack down the middle of screen. After owning Charge 2 for less than a year, I plugged it in overnight to charge and woke up to a cracked screen right down the middle. Purchased in Canada. Any details to join class action?

The same thing happened to my Charge 2 after owning it for less than a year. I plugged it in overnight to charge and woke up to a cracked screen right down the middle.

Same issue for me. After tapping the screen for other displays over a period of several months, the screen begins to crack. In my situation, it has cracks on each side of the case. No sure if I will buy another FitBit due to this problem reoccurring on the next FitBit.

Same Fitbit charge 2 crack issue happened to me also. The screen cracked vertical from top to bottom. Please include my name also in the class action suit. Let’s chase Fitbit to repair or replace their faulty product. Thank you.

My Fitbit Charge 2 screen mysteriously cracked, it was not dropped or hit against anything. I did not contact the company because the warranty had expired. Please add me to the lawsuit. Thank you.

I have 2 of these both with vertical cracks currently. I had one claim within the first year of ownership and the same problem occurred with the replacement. Purchased another with discount as it was outside of warranty and have two vertical cracks to the screen. I have moved on to the Charge 3.

My Fitbit Charge 2 screen has cracked but since it is no longer on warranty I didn’t even think to contact customer service. Please include me in this class action. Thank you

I know for a fact that my fit bit charge 2 screen spontaneously cracked. I am suspicious of the timing of this defect, considering it was right before the holidays. “What do you want for Christmas honey?” “I guess a new fit bit?? Even though, that’s what I got last year…Ugh.” The fact that there are sooo many of us that this happened to, just recently, is weird. Please include me in any class action claim. Thank you.

My Fitbit Charge 2 has experienced the same mysterious crack as others on this post. It is out of warranty and they only offer 25% off. Unlike the original charge you cannot buy an aftermarket screen/case to make the repair.

My Fitbit also cracked. It is out of warranty I plan on contacting the company anyway. I know I did not bang, hit or cause damage. I was shocked to see the crack.

Please add me. I had mine less than a week and it cracked was told it was not covered but would give me 25% off a new one. I declined I had just purchased it well fast forward a year later I look down and my fit bit is gone from the band literally. Band on my arm no fitbit screen at all

I was planning to buy 2 Fitbit Charge 3’s to replace both my wife’s and my Charge 2 that developed cracked screens. I’ve read the many complaints on this and other sites about the Charge 2 screen cracks and am disappointed with Fitbit’s choice to not stand behind their product. Furthermore, I see no evidence that Fitbit has remedied the issue for either their Charge 2 or Charge 3 products. I and others would run the risk of investing another $150 for each Fitbit Charge 3 unit only to find the same problem and absence of support. I will look for another option. Fitbit’s support is absent, negligent and unwarranted and apparently places no value on their customers.

I just found a vertical crack on my Firbit today. It was given to me as a gift July 2018 so now it is 4 months out of warranty. Received on comments back from Fitbit dupport

My wife and I both have Charge 2 from Fitbit. Currently both screens are cracked and are well out of warranty. As a long time Fitbit user (Flex/Charge 2) I would not recommend this company due lack confidence of customer support with a defective product. Shame on you!

My wife’s Fitbit Charge 2 cracked two weeks ago. My Fitbit cracked the following week. I noticed my cracked screen when I got to work. I had to call my wife and ask if she had mistakenly picked up my Fitbit!

Mu screen cracked within 3 months, they replaced the watch for free but the second one got a crack in the same exact spots also. When I called to have it replaced they said it was out of warranty. I said I just got this a few months ago they said well the warranty is from the first Fitbit watch I purchased not the replacement one! I just want them to make good on their product and replace the screens but that option is not available.

I too have a crack down the center of my Fitbit Charge 2. There were no accidents to cause this. I would appreciate help so I can replace this screen or whatever you can do to replace the watch.

My fitbit ionic also cracked in the right lower corner. Fitbit is not offering any replacement saying it is accidental damage and hence not covered under warranty. Alsi, when i asked for reoair centres, they said there are no repair centres in India and if tried to repair the fitbit might get damaged. This is so unprofessional. They should offer some help or replace the fitbit. I have paid close to INR 20000 for it. How can i buy a new one just like that coz they dont offer any repairs ? Something concrete has to come up with this issue. Either strengthen the glass to unbreakable or give replacements.

My Charge 2 has 2 parallel cracks down the screen. I also am very careful with it and take it off if I’m concerned it will get banged or pressed against by something I might be doing. May I also be included in in the Fitbit Charge 2 class action please?

Mine has 2 cracks in it, parallel to each other. I know I didn’t drop, scrape, or squash it bad enough to do that. I’d like in on this, if possible. For what these cost, they shouldn’t be this fragile. I’ve got a 35 year old watch that’s done better than this!

I’m on my second charge 2 fitbit. I was sent a replacement not too long ago (because the original was cracked) and now the replacement is cracked. I take great care of it too. Ridiculous that it’s so cheaply made yet so expensive to buy.

I have mine Charge 2 a little over 2 years and the face of mine has two vertical cracks ju st as others have described. Wth this many experiencing this issue it would seem that this is defect in the manufacturing of this item. I called support and was offered the 25% discount on a newer Fitbit. That is not a satifactory option as an item that was over $150 has lasted only 2 years. Interestingly enought on the Community Support page it seems many people received new replacements for their Fitbits. Why isn’t this being done for all customers since this is so obviously a flawed product?

Purchased mine May 24, 2017. It cracked vertically from top to bottom on September 29, 2019. There was no impact that caused it to crack. It is still working, so I am going to keep using it until it fails.

Same cracked screen as everyone else on the last 44 pages of a Fitbit complaint thread I was reading until a moderator employed by Fitbit shut the thread down basically stating fitbit’s aware of the problem they’re not going to do anything about it and they’re tired of hearing about it.

I thought the same thing my charge 2 has a crack going verically on the side of the screen. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out how it got there. Now i am reading several places that others are having the same thing happen.I just noticed the other day that there is now one on the other side.

My Fitbit 2 has a vertical crack from top to bottom. Until I read these posts, I thought I must have unwittingly done something that caused the crack although I had no idea what caused it.

When my screen suddenly got a Crack in it, I looked on line for a replacement, and was surprised that there in no replacement for this watch; especially, since it is a defect in the watch. I will call company to inform them of the problem.

I had the old Fitbit and my daughter gave me the Charge 2 with the nice rose gold design as a gift over a year ago, within six months I had what looked like two vertical cracks (one each side) on the screen. I was sure I hadn’t damaged it and now it sometimes is hard to get the screen to turn on by moving my wrist or tapping. I didn’t even contact FitBit because I am so cynical that I didn’t think it was worth the time and effort. If it had happened after 3-4 years I wouldn’t be so angry as I would feel like I got my money’s worth, but happening so soon is frustrating.

I have had two break like this. The first one FITBIT convinced me it was my fault. Fine I replaced it. Only 14 months into the new watch the same crack appeared.

I’ve had 3 crack now – one I gave as a gift and two that I purchased for myself. When I contacted Fitbit, they offered me only a limited time discount on a new purchase. So disappointing.

Yesterday morning, I found my Fitbit Charge 2 with a cracked screen. Thinking back I KNOW I did not hit anything with it. I was researching online and I am surprised to find this is not an uncommon problem. This is my second charge 2. (The first one quit suddenly after a little over a year and I was offered a discount.) I’d like to be added too, if possible, for this cracked screen.

My heart is so sad. Fitbit should really make a replacement for its product. This is my second watch as my first suddenly stop syncing, fitbit customer service offered a discount on a new one – now this issue. Maybe I should change brands.

Just happened to mine as well. Mine is almost 2 years old and I wear it all the time. I have gone through two of their bands, and then purchased replacement on amazon (not a fitbit product) and have had no problems at all.

I have also had the same problem with my Charge 2 – a crack down the middle of the screen for no apparent reason. I will purchase something other than Fitbit. How does one join this Class Action?

I have also had the same problem with my Charge 2 – a crack down the middle of the screen for no apparent reason. When I can no longer read the screen, I will purchase something other than Fitbit. How does one join this Class Action?

I have had two charge 2’s where the screen has cracked. I live in the uk and there are thousands of consumers who have experienced the same issue – not sure if you can help uk residents? I would love to hear from you, many thanks

My Charge 2 is 20 months old. Same issue. I too was offered discounts. I would not buy another Fitbit product now that I know they don’t offer repairs even if you’re willing to pay. I was willing until I learned that the screen splitting is not an unusual phenomenon.

Same problem… Two vertical cracks on sides of screen with a horizontal crack on the top and I did not drop it or damage it. Now I know it is not waterproof so either keep my arm in the air or take it off in the pool! Would like to be part of the class action lawsuit.

I have 2 cracks one on each side. I was offered the same discount. It would be great if we could get a replacement screen. I just bought 2 more watches on the secondary market not knowing this was a problem with the Charge 2. As I have invested a lot with the accessories and they can not be used on another fitbit. Very upsetting.

Same!!! I have one and it did the same thing. My husband also have 3 failed fitbits and they do nothing about it. Money down the drain or shall I say into their pocket.

Had one screen crack which was replaced and now the replacement one has done exactly the same. Fitbit will not take any responsibility and only offer a 25% discount off another Fitbit product. Appalling- in the uk so don’t know if you can help or guide please?

Same – Charge 2 cracked spontaneously overnight, while setting on the bedside table in an environmentally controlled room. They gave me a “courtesy replacement,” which promptly cracked as well. Then I was SOL. I purchased a different tracker, will never purchase another Fitbit. The company denies any role in the manufacturing defect, and they delete comments and ban people from their community who post anything negative. Their community moderators provide nothing more than lip service to customers.

I received mine as Mother’s Day gift. I woke up this morning and now The screen has cracked. Why are they selling such a defective product still. I know my son used his first paycheck for this gift. I am so disappointed.

Both my husband and I have the charge 2. We received them for Christmas in 2018. Both have developed cracks within the first year. However they work fine but very annoying with the cracks down both sides of the screen. It is obviously a manufacture defect since everyone I know has these cracks. If we could be placed in the lawsuit that would be great or I would love to just get the screens fixed.

Mine cracked on both sides of the screen a couple weeks ago. Last week it cracked up the center. I have don’t nothing impactful to this watch. FitBit offered me 25% off a Charge 3 with no recourse for replacement or repair to my current watch. Watching their forum, there is clearly a massive defect issue.

One cracked in the warranty period and they replaced it and the replacement cracked just out of the warranty period and they offered a discount on a replacement. Sign me up.

I also have one with cracks down the screen. It’s never been dropped or damaged in any way. They just appeared. I cannot seem to find a place or way to have it repaired. Please keep me informed of the class action suit.

I also have charge 2 with a cracked screen. I was wondering what I had done that could have caused the screen to crack, especially since I an retired and do nothing that would come in contact with my arms.

My fitbit cracked too with no apparent mistreatment on my part. My crack is deep on the screen and runs top to bottom and has a second running horizontal. Very disappointing.

I have a Fitbit charge 2 and like many others the screen cracked vertically. I continued to wear it with difficulty reading the screen. It stopped working altogether shortly afterwards and I had to go out and buy a different brand watch.

Noticed today that my screen is cracked. I don’t remember dropping it or “smashing” it against anything. Came home and googled what to do about it,and saw this website

I’ve had mine since February 2017 and there’s the crack-same spot. I’m very cautious with items like these. I noticed another one yesterday after deciding to replace the band from wearing it daily. Thought about the 3 but now I’m turned off. Will wear this one until it dies and find an alternative. Add me. Susan Hirsch

I received my Fitbit charge 2 as a Mother’s Day gift in 2018. My screen is also cracked the same way. Of course out of warranty. I would also like to be a part of the class action suit.

Yes the Fitbit charge 2 that I passed on to my sister now has a crack down the middle. It happened after the warranty period, so I have not contacted the Company. I did research to see if the screen could be replaced when I came across this class action.

My HR screen cracked within the warranty period and Fitbit replaced it (+$25 from me) with the HR2. The HR2 screen just cracked today (2 lines down the middle). Since the original warranty has expired, the HR2 replacement won’t be covered. Looking into Garmin units.

I have had my charge 2 for over 2 yrs but the screen has had a vertical crack in it for most of its life just one day look down and its cracked. I keep it dry no swimming, bathing, or washing with it on

How do I get in on this class action lawsuit? My fitbit charge 2 did the same thing and it has never been dropped or anything. It just randomly got a crack right down the middle of the screen.

I too, have a Charge2 that has cracked from one end to the other. It now has 2 straight line cracks as of today. The second crack was not there last night, but was as bout mid morning. I have not dropped or banged the Fitbit. This 2nd crack is way more obvious than the first one, that happened a couple of months ago. At that time, I asked for the new Versa for my birthday and I immediately put a glass screen protector as well as as silicone protector on that one!

I’ve had 2 Charge 2’s over the last 2 years and both cracked. At first I thought maybe the first one cracked because I banged it against something accidentally. After lots of hassling FB sent a replacement.

I just noticed the new one has a very similar crack in the same location (vertical, right side). It might have been there for some time before I noticed it. The new watch was received in March 2018 according to FB.

Can this lawsuit cover non compliance with the Fitbit warranty in whole. They offer a warranty on the money spent (starts the timer) but not on the product itself. The company has repeatedly stated that they only warranty their watches within the first year and not on the actual product that was purchased. I have spent hours on the phone with be Fitbit regarding their policy on a product I purchased, they will not honor their one year warranty on products that are considered ‘replacements’ even if it’s within the one year of purchase (timer). Is the warranty negligent enough to hold up I’m court?

I contacted Fitbit as I had one last year crack, bought a new one and it cracked as well. They stated it was out of warranty and could not assist me with anything, didn’t even offer discount for new one.

Would your lawsuit cover the display screen suddenly stopping working? I bought myself and my wife the Charge 2 about a year ago and her screen just suddenly stopped working. In researching how I might be able to reset it I have found a large number of charge 2 owners who are having the same issue and are only being offered a 25% discount on the same product.

I also have a Fitbit HR Charge 2 with vertical cracks. Fitbit also offered me a 25% discount but only on another HR Charge 2. As with other customer complaints on Fitbit’s community page the screen cracked while being charged. I would also like to be added to a class action suit against fitbit.

Contacted customer service and got the same crap response that they would offer me 25% discount on a new Fitbit which I will obviously never buy again..

Service 3 times. Also called corporate and left 2 messages. Sent an email to corporate and after many calls finally received an email that they would replace my Fitbit but only sent the pebble cc not a new complete Fitbit.

Same here in the UK although we at least get a two year warranty. Both my wife’s and mine cracked inside 9 months and 12 months respectively. Fitbit replaced them with refurbished models. Mine wouldn’t connect via Bluetooth and it took weeks for them to replace it (and only after I emailed the top guy).

This afternoon I noticed my Fitbit charge 2 had a crack down the middle that wasn’t there earlier today! I purchased mine in October of 2018 brand new and I never dropped mine or did anything to cause it to crack and I love my Fitbit Charge 2 and am shocked to see this crack down the middle of my Fitbit Charge 2

Please add me. I recieved my Fitbit Charge 2 in Nov. 2019. When I looked at it yesterday there was no crack. When was on my walk today I noticed a split vertical crack. All I did was put it on and go for a walk (I do not sleep with mine on. There should be a solution to this.

I have been following the Fitbit community post for about a year. My post is there and I have all the documentation about experiencing the exact same issue.

My screen cracked as well. Riding in my car, one look at it and it was fine and the next time I looked at it, it was cracked. Didn’t call the company as I read all the responses. Never wore it to bed and didn’t wear it often.

SAME PROBLEM WITH VERTICAL CRACK WAS OFFERED 25PERCENT OFF FUTRE PURCHASE TOTALLY INSULTING THIS IS THE SECOND TIME ALSO THEY REPRESENTED IT WAS GORILLA GLASS THEN SAID IT IS HIGH SCRATCH RESISTANT WOULD LOVE TO MAKE THEM PAY FOR THEIR LIES TOO MANY OF US HAVE HAD THE SAME COMPLAINT IT PROBABLY IS A DESIGN FLAW BY THE PUSH BUTTON

Mine is cracked also and I have been in contact with fitbit and they claim that I do not have a repair place near me and has not offered anything and my fitbit is still under warranty

Mine also cracked straight down the middle after a couple months. I just had to buy a new one because the charger and Fitbit both stopped working overnight.

I bought one and had the same issue. I called customer service and they sent me another one just to have it happen again. I gave up and didn’t bother purchasing anymore Fitbit.

Add me please. I bought me and my son one and both of them have cracked screens. I replaced the screens on both but shortly after they both cracked again. They can now longer be used. I refuse to buy another one or even replace another screen.

Not only screen broke, My band will not lock inplace. And I had it replaced, new band did the samething comes a lose. I don’t used it anymore it’s not worth it.

Same thing happened to me, except it was their $300 Fitbit Ionic! Hairline crack appeared without impact, still under warranty, yet they offered only 25% discount on a new item. Absolutely ridiculous.

I bought my Mother one (Fitbit Charge 2) and her’s did the same thing. We complained it had cracked and were told nothing could be done. Thought we were alone in this so I bought another for the same thing to happen. Took back to Bed Bath and Beyond and they told me to contact Fitbit who would not reply to our emails or phone calls. REALLY UPSET Son and his Mom!

I called them about the same issue last year and was told that they don’t repair their watches and offered me 20% discount on a new one and directed me to their website. Please add me to the lawsuit.

Had 2 Fitbit Charges that cracked within 6 months. Also was told I could have 25% off a new one. Now I have an Apple Watch. If the screen cracks, you can easily replace it, but using a screen protector doesn’t even make that necessary. And it is a much better exercise tracker.

My Fitbit 2 cracked in a similar manner, as if pushed up from the inside. And since it happened while I was in bed, sleeping, there was no opportunity for it to have occurred by being impacted with anything more solid than a mattress or down comforter.

I also bought one at a Kohl’s broke within year went Kohl’s would not take back called Fitbit would not let me return it they offered me 25% off on another. I said I only had it less then year said sorry

My screen has multiple fractures and as a result I have stopped using it. At first to try and prolong its life but it quickly brakes the habit and that was that.

My Fitbit charge 2 not only has the issue of the screen cracking while on my wrist while I was sitting eating lunch. I’ve also gotten burn marks from the charging area when I put it on after charging it. Half the time the turn of your wrist feature won’t work and my straps broke so I had to buy new ones. I was offered I think it was either a 15% or 20% discount to buy a new charge. Tap feature rarely works since screen cracked. I rely on my charge for the heart rate monitor because of my heart issues and when things aren’t working then it poses a problem. So frustrating. Can I possibly be added to the suit? Mainly for the justice of the fact that they take accountability for crappy products. I’d use the money to buy an apple or Samsung watch because at least I know if they fail then the issue will be taken care of.

I never had the cracked screen issue but I had a issue where my charge 2 the charging ports left burn marks on my wrist. Which Fitbit refunded me the money I spent on it.

I’m so happy to find out I was not being paranoid thinking I did sometimes wrong to my watch when I didn’t….within days of having mine the screen cracked down the middle as well!

I had the exact same thing happen to my charge 2. I was offered a discount, 10% if I remember right, to purchase another unit. I also had an issue with the straps falling off. I was afraid to waste another $140, just to have the possibility of it reoccurring.

Same here. Mine cracked down both sides as if the charger that came with it broke it. I read all the comments on the forums and noticed nothing was done and the company states if you bought it from someplace other than them, the warranty may not be any good. It also cracked after my warranty was up. So I did nothing but took extra care with it. I knew I could not accidently dive in water with it anymore. But how disappointing?

I had a problem with the charge 2 as well. My screen did not crack but my display dissappeared. I contacted fit bit in early December they set me out a replacement that would not sync. Long story short 5 replacements laterto this daye the replacements have not yet synced to my phone. I ended up purchasing the 3 with no help or discount from the company and 28 days later i am having trouble with the display as well

I even purchased a liquid screen protectant for mine. Within a month the crack appeared. I had not hit it or abused it in sny way. Just normal use and charging.

I purchased 2 of them, one for a gift. And both of them have cracked screens. I contacted them and because I didn’t purchase them from their website, they could not replace them I was offered 25 percent off a new product.

Mine did the same exact thing. Never dropped it and only took it off to charge. Where the crack is, the screen pushes up not in. So I didn’t hit it off of anything. However, I didn’t know when I bought it and also didn’t have a receipt so I never asked amour a replacement. Sucks that they know they’re make a crappy product and continue to do it!

Mine started displaying all kinds of crazy symbols, then it would not register correctly. I rebooted it, once i did, it looked as if the screen got hot inside, melted, then cracked. I contacted fit bit. They had me return it to them for a replacement I NEVER received. Now when I contact them about when will my new one be sent? They tell me they have NO RECORD of me ever contacting them, so Im out the 149.99 I paid for it and I will never buy another

I have had cracks on either side of the display area for some time now. I do use a screen protector to keep it from getting scratched up. I advance ordered 2 of them on the 1st & 2nd of July, 2017. Received them about the end of the first week in August of 2017, so I’ve had them for about 1-1/2 years.

Mine cracked with in a month I even purchased a screen protector for it. Like stated above it appeared to have cracked outward. The first crack was on one side of display screen the second was on the opposite side of the display screen. How does one join suit.

I’ve had the same issue of the screen cracking and no solution to fixing it. I switched to the Versa Fitbit. The charge 2 still works but that’s an expensive backup.

This happened to me within 2 weeks. I purchased mine at Kohl’s and they would not help either. I ended up buying another one for 150.00 and the same thing happened. Now I’m out 300.00!

My first Charge 2 had issues with the band, screen cracking & charging issues. The face of my second Charge 2 cracked & busted out of nowhere and the band didn’t last (And to be replaced). Luckily I had a free replacement through Best Buy. I upgraded to a Charge 3, 2 months ago and it won’t hold a charge. I’ve gotten the run around from Fitbit. They keep giving me suggestions on how to charge, sync, reboot, reset, clear to factory settings, change my USB power source, etc. IT STILL WON’T HOLD A CHARGE.

I have the Fitbit versa got it the first of December it stopped working and they replaced it in less than 2 weeks later I see that it had a crack down the middle I called customer service and they would do nothing they offered me 25% off of another Fitbit. I’m furious because I got it so I could swim with it and now since it has a crack I’m afraid to.

I upgraded my daughter’s and my fitbit charge to a charge 2 but haven’t used them yet. Still in package. We automatically replace the bands on the fitbit charge and are still using them. Hope this gets resolve something told me I should have gotten the Versa.

I had a flex and upgraded to the Charge HR, then the Charge HR 2 (which cracked like a BIG split down the middle) so I upgraded again to the Versa which has been fine.

I have been through five bands sense owning the fitbit charge II the company replace the first band but the others I have replaced myself. Thinking that I have been too harsh with my watch. I am a nurses assistant and I use glove consistently. Putting over my watch to protect from hospital germs. Only to find my watch on the floor. After taking off my gloves. I have even brought the leather band, which didn’t take as long as the black bands to break. I have been a horder of receipts but I recently moved and I think I have thrown away those receipts. Would I need Them to join in this class action suit.

I’ve had a Fitbit Blaze for a year. I wear it everyday. The screen cracked within 60 days. Fitbit sent a replacement Blaze. That screen has cracked multiple times and all Fitbit offered was a discount on a replacement. NO THANKS. A fitness tracker as fragile as a Fitbit is worthless. I’d never own another one or recommend it to anyone else.

I was given a replacement for my cracked screen and my new replacement also cracked within a couple of months wearing it. I was told that a replacement will not be made anymore.

Don’t buy another device. My Charge 3 stopped working in less than two months after purchase. They didn’t care. Hopefully more people will come forward.

The last two Charge 2s that I have had both cracked. I had the replacement plan on the first one but Fitbit quit honoring the plan. I’m still wearing the second band. It sometimes is difficult to get the tap function to work.

The Fitbit Ionic has a similar issue. Within 6 months, a small crack appeared in the corner. Never dropped, never suffered any impact. Customer service simply dismissed it as user damage and that was that.

Good ~ they finally get what they deserve! People pay a lot of $$ for a faulty product. Customer service is worthless and careless! I have (had) a Charge HR 3 that stopped working in less than two months after purchase. They didn’t care I payed $169.00 for it; why should they? They offered me nothing and, conveniently, Best Buy had a 15 days return policy for it. Lucky me! :( Hope it helps with the lawsuit against FitBit, and I’d be happy to share my “wonderful” interaction with FitBit custumer service, if needed.

The band on my charge fitbit, not the Charge 2, also came apart at the joint where it meets the screen exposing the inner workings. I have been crazy gluing it together for months. Fitbit also offered a 25 percent off for a new Fitbit. So glad I didn’t buy another charge especially the II.

Sadly I think all the defective fitbits should be added to the suit. In the beginning their customer service was excellent, now it is a disaster. To bad.

Good~ they finally get what they deserve! People pay a lot of $$ for a faulty product. What’s worse, customer service is worthless and careless! I have (had) a Charge-HR 3 that stopped working in less than two months after p

My fitbit cracked within months of purchase, i thought i must have hit it and not realized although it really should not be so delicate. A couple months later a second crack appeared both down the center while doing nothing which made me realize it couldn’t have happened the first time unless it could be cracked with paper.

My wife and I both have charge 2 with the same problem. The vertical crack is from the inside . I contacted Fitbit they offered a 25% discount on a new device .

Please add me to this list too! I got a replacement but I’m pretty sure it’s already been used and it doesn’t hold a charge for more than three days at a time. My original Fitbit (with a cracked scry!) held a charge for a week but I only got to enjoy that a fee months before it self-imploded!

The exact same thing happened to me right down to the 25% discount off of a new Fitbit of my choice. I am sure I kept the emails from them explaining that was all they could do. Please add me to the list .

My screen cracked but I was still within the one year warranty. The offered a free replacement or 25% off a different model. I took the free replacement, no harm, no foul.

Yes, mine cracked all of a sudden as well. I do not recall hitting anything. They would not replace. I bought a Versa to replace. Hope I can get a refund for the charge 2.

My band broke, and my screen crack within 4 months after my purchase of my Fitbit I purchased another one and then the band broke, and the side piece broke off the second one I purchased I am now on my 3rd Fitbit within a year. If this one breaks I am done with fitbit.

My Fibit Charge 2 crack in the middle. They did sent me ONLY the body of the fit bit (That most probably is a refurbish one). But I still have to buy the band that is broken in the part that holds the body. In reality is a lot of money and at the end no one can’t tell you that it wont happen again with the refurbish piece.

Please add me to. Mine broke with in two years. My band broke couple of times. When it broke second time they said they couldn’t replace it cuz there is no warranty on the replacement band they provided when it broke first time. I’m done with firbit. Trying to explore other options.

Choosing the best Fitbit for you all depends upon your needs and budget. Fitbit"s devices are some of the best fitness trackers you can buy, but range from the $100 Fitbit Inspire 3 to the $299 Fitbit Sense 2 so it"s important to know what you"re looking for.

Regardless of the model, Fitbit"s devices track activities, steps, and sleep. They"re also water-resistant and offer comprehensive female health tracking, and connect you to your smartphone. Moreover, you get access to Fitbit"s app, offering up a community of users to connect with. So, whether you"re trying to lose weight or hit a new running PB, Fitbit has a device to monitor your health and fitness.

If you do have a Fitbit, it"s worth noting, Fitbit are removing a lot of the community elements to its trackers this March. Here"s more information on what"s changing.

If you"re unsure what to look for, the best smartwatches range in features and price tags to help you decide what you need. Some handy features include GPS, on-screen workouts, and heart-monitoring capabilities, but it"s worth having a think about how you will use your Fitbit.

We"ve tested the best Fitbits on the market while running, swimming, and sleeping to cut down on the necessary homework. If you"re looking to kickstart your 2023 fitness goals with a new fitness tracker, Fitbit is one of the most popular brands on the market to shop.

The Fitbit Charge 5 is Fitbit"s latest tracker and it has a number of exciting features, usually reserved for Fitbit"s more expensive trackers, an ECG heart rate monitor being one. During testing, we found that the bright, always-on color touch screen was a massive improvement on the Fitbit Charge 4 — it is easy to read in bright sunlight and is great to use during a HIIT workout or on a hike, although we found the lack of physical buttons made it a little fiddly to navigate around when running.

The Fitbit Charge 5 will also be able to give wearers a "Daily Readiness Score", which is based on three different metrics — fitness fatigue (activity), heart rate variability (HRV), and recent sleep.

If you"re looking for a tracker that looks beautiful against your wrist, is easy to read in the bright sunlight andhas some impressive features for the price tag, this is a good buy. Also, if you"re using a Fitbit Charge 3 or older, the upgrade is worth it for the color screen alone.

If you"re new to fitness tracking, the $99 Fitbit Inspire 3 is the ultimate entry-level activity band and the best Fitbit for you. For a third of the cost of the company’s smartwatches, the Inspire 3 gets basic health metrics, automatic workout tracking and accurate sleep insights. It also comes with a free year of Fitbit Premium.

Fitbit rates the Inspire 3 battery life for 10 days, which makes it the longest-lasting Fitbit. There"s no GPS or music storage, so you"ll need your phone nearby for working out. But it does have Active Zone Minutes, which is a feature on Fitbit"s pricier options that monitors the time you spend in the fat burn, cardio or peak heart-rate zones while exercising.

During testing, we were impressed by the price, the comfortable, lightweight design, and the fact it comes with six months of Fitbit Premium. Compared to the Fitbit Inspire 2, the newer device feels more premium, thanks to the bright AMOLED display, which is easy to see, even in bright daylight. The downside with this watch is the lack of in-built GPS, which isn"t ideal for tracking activities outdoors, but if you don"t mind taking your phone with you, don"t let this put you off.

The Fitbit Sense 2 is the company"s premium smartwatch that comes with more advanced health and wellness features that the Versa line. Not only does it have an FDA-approved ECG sensor and blood oxygen reading, but the Sense has the ability to measure electrodermal activity and skin temperature, too. Compared to the original Fitbit Sense, the Sense 2 features an upgraded design, interface and EDA sensor, making for Fitbit"s most holistic smartwatch yet.

An update to the stress-detecting EDA (electrodermal activity) sensor plays a large role in the device’s success: now called cEDA ("c" for continuous,) the sensor monitors stress levels or heightened responses throughout the day, prompting the user to take action on mood monitoring with Body Response notifications. During testing, we were impressed by the Sense 2"s long battery life and attractive design, as well as the huge number of health tracking options.

Not only does the Fitbit Charge 4 have GPS built-in — a first for Fitbit"s fitness trackers — but it has a new metric, called Active Zone Minutes, that gives you a better indicator of your overall health. The Fitbit Charge 4 also has Fitbit Pay, so you can use it as a contactless payment device at participating locations. And, for those who use Spotify, the Charge 4 now has controls for that music service, though you still can"t load music onto the device itself.

The best Fitbit midrange smartwatch is the Fitbit Versa 3, the next-generation of the Fitbit Versa 2. The Versa 3’s standout upgrade is on-board GPS. Now, even when you leave your phone at home, the Versa can (finally) track your location during outdoor exercise. A curvier, larger display is welcome, too.

Plus the Versa 3 has gained a great motivational workout feature, Active Zone Minutes. Introduced with the Charge 4, Active Zone Minutes monitors the time you spend in the fat burn, cardio or peak heart-rate zones while exercising. Your goal is to earn the AHA’s and WHO’s recommended 150 Active Zone Minutes each week.

The $150 Fitbit Luxe looks to make fitness tracking a fashion statement. While we"ve seen smartwatches offer lifestyle models as alternatives to their sporty counterparts, the Fitbit Luxe is the first activity band we’ve seen in a long while that’ll pass as wrist candy.

The Fitbit Ace 3 is one of the few fitness trackers designed for kids. Like Garmin"s Vivofit Jr. models, the Fitbit Ace 3 offers parental controls for their children (8 and up) and helps set health goals in a way that"s appropriate for little ones. Unlike the fitness bands Fitbit makes for grown-ups, kids won"t be able to see metrics such as calorie burn or body fat percentage on the device or in the Fitbit app. Rather, the Fitbit Ace 2 offers achievements and trophies that can be unlocked by activity.

Fitbit Ace is designed to encourage kids to get up and move instead of sit in front of a TV. Colorful band options add a fun flair, while the game-based goals are certain to grab your kid"s attention.

If you spend more time than you wish to disclose on your butt watching TV, and want to start down the path to a healthier lifestyle, a basic tracker that costs less than $100 will most likely suit your needs. The $99 Fitbit Inspire 3 will track your daily steps, calories and distance, showing your stats on a small OLED touchscreen.

For those who work out more frequently, the Fitbit Charge 5 might better suit your needs. This band has all of the same features as the Inspire HR, but comes with a larger OLED touchscreen display, which makes it easier to see notifications and health data at a glance. It also has NFC built in, so you can use it for mobile payments via Fitbit Pay.

Those looking for more of a smartwatch-style fitness tracker should check out the Fitbit Versa 4 or Fitbit Sense 2. These devices have square, color touchscreens that can be used with Fitbit"s small but growing app store.

By wearing them, of course! When Fitbit comes out with a new fitness tracker or smartwatch, we fully charge it up, then strap it on our wrist for about a week or so to test out all its features.

Finally, there’s comparing Fitbit"s battery life claims to our actual use. Some sensors chew up juice faster than others, so if you"ve got the screen on constantly, or are always using the heart rate monitor, your mileage may vary.

If you want to get more from your Fitbit, you can sign up for the brand"s Premium service, which gives you access to hundreds of video and audio workouts, personalized insights, and tailored health and fitness programs.

If you"re really into tracking your sleep, Premium gives users more data to delve into, including an analysis of sleep duration and a deeper look into sleeping heart rate, and restlessness. Fitbit Premium also gives users a daily wellness report, which includes guidance on health and recovery, based on Fitbit stats. In 2022, Fitbit has added Sleep Animals to the Sleep Score feature, six animal archetypes have been chosen based on their sleeping type, including Giraffe, Bear, Dolphin, Hedgehog, Parrot, and Tortoise.

Fitbit often offers members a free trial to their Premium service when they buy a tracker, but after that it"ll cost $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year. We look at whether Fitbit Premium is worth it to help you determine whether you should pay that extra subscription fee.Round up of today"s best deals
