oneplus one lcd panel made in china

I"ve looked at some pictures of the OnePlus One today and all of the phones have "Cyanogen" engraved on that back, but mine doesn"t. I looked it up and apparently there"s companies who make fake OnePlus One"s and they don"t add that Cyanogen thing, do you guys think mine is a fake?

DO NOT FIX IT YOURSELF. The internet is full of Fake screens. If you receive one (and you are lucky if you do) it will be a 0% original screen with weird colors. Check the post from @stephenlotus to see him filming the process of him replacing his screen himself and seeing the problem with his own eyes. I ordered one from china (Ali**press) and it was broken when it came in the mail. Also I took it too a phone shop and they told me it was a fake( Buyer promised it was 100% ORIGINAL. Srsly all caps like that). An hour ago I finalized my payment for it too get repaired by One plus. It cost me 147 Euros (so around 200 US Dollars) and I"m happy I did it. My order is pending shipment and will arrive (as the support team told me) within a Few workdays days ( much faster than ordering it from china).

I"d say you"re not an average user. An average user has no experience in fixing or tearing down phones. I"d opt for trusted shops for repair as they have better tools and experience. Unless you"re a more than average exp user, knock yourself out. Nothing better than fixing your own baby

So today, I received my replacement screen. I just got done finishing installments and repairing back to the original form. I tested the phones touch screen/grounding issue and it works perfectly. No more random typing issues! My One ACTUALLY works now! I am so happy.

So before anybody else tries this, please take responsibilities for any possible fails. The hardest part was taking off the original screen from the chassis. I don"t think I would"ve been able to get it off without breaking it, honestly.

I need to replace my cracked digitizer/glass on my OnePlus One and it seems changing only the digitizer is kinda hard so next thing is to get the full LCD to replace.

It seems logical that lcd + frame is easier but it seems it requires to move components/motherboard around which for me seems more prone to mistakes and problems then just buying an LCD and putting it into my old frame.

Confirm the charges collected by Service center and if it is abnormal , go for fixing it with a local but experienced technician. And when purchasing new one go for Digitizer + LCD screen + Front frame assembly. Avoid LCD assembly without front frame.

This is just because they are an official Chinese company, even if they"re trying to become more international. Another reason that comes up to my mind is that having local customers asking for your products is a far more easier task than the ones that they"ve established themselves about getting everyone AROUND the world to be able to purchase this phone. Just with logistics you"ve got a great problem there, not to mention the shipping cost and the fact that this phone is sold at their price production, so there"s no margin -thus no profit- for the firm to speed up the process.
