Note: because different screens use different type of loca glue, some iphone screens are impossible to separate in 20s. (You can identify different batches by serial numbers.) For those bad batches impossible in freezer, you can use the wire cutting method:

2.Semi-automatic lcd separator: **Separating temperature at around 80 degree. **If glass is badly broken into many small pieces, please cover it by a tape like this. (1.to ensure the screen can be sucked tightly on the heating plate during separating; 2.to avoid some splinters left on the plate after separating.)

3. Manual lcd separator: with a manual separator, you need to hold the cutting wire with your hands.so please ensure your two hands keep parallel during separating.

1.Roller-type glue remover machine: can protect your original polarizer, so you don"t need to replace the polarizer. After you remove the original glue, you just need to clean the LCD by alcohol or other liquid.

Note: * Make sure there"s no splinter left on lcd before removing glue!! any tiny splinter will scratch the lcd or the roller when working. * Put some double-sided adhesive tape on the upper short roller which will clean the long roller when working. If the tape is with glue or dirt, change it from time to time.

2.Blade-type glue remover machine: If your original polarizer is damaged, you can remove the polarizer and glue together by the blade machine, but please be careful, put down the blade head gently and slowly. After removing polarizer, you still need to clean it (with 8222 cleaner liquid). The blade should be changed after 10-20pcs.

3. Soldering device with blade: This is a cheap and simple way to remove polarizer and glue; you need also a special mould to hold the lcd. Please don’t keep the blade stay for long time at one position on screen when removing glue.

Laminate Temperature: 30~40 degree is ok. Laminate Pressure: 2-3, please don’t set it more than 3, too heavy pressure will damage the LCD. Laminate Time (pressing time): usually at 20-25seconds.

If your TV screen has an imperfection, discoloration, lines, streaks, spots, etc., then there is a good chance that your warranty will cover it (if it’s within the allotted time period). Most TV warranties are in place for the first year, and they cover these types of manufacturer defects.

And the even better news here is thatthe majority of issues you’re likely to encounter with your TV will happen within the first year (when you’re covered by the manufacturer).

You can always try selling it. Your broken TV isn’t worth much, but to the right person, it’s worth something. Someone who knows what they are doing will take your TV apart, and sell off each individual piece.

If it turns out no one is willing to buy it, you can try listing it on those same marketplaces for free!Tons of people usually respond when they can get something for no cost, even if it’s broken.

Find a local electronics recycler. There are a lot of these out there. You can look up the closest one to you using Earth911’s website. Type in “TV” and then your Zip Code to find the nearest option to you. Once you find the closest location, you just have to drop off your TV.

Local electronics stores typically recycle products that they sell. A great example of this is Best Buy. They have a nationwide recycling program. But keep in mind, they will charge you a small fee!

Your town likely collects e-waste. Check out your town/cities trash website and see what their policies are for electronic waste. Some towns have special pick up days, others have drop off locations. I would just call your city’s public works department and ask for a place to recycle or dispose of old electronics.

Buy a TV screen protector. You can buy a screen that covers your TV and protects it against damage, and many are waterproof! These provide great added protection from possible bumps and contact with liquids from pets and children.

Mount your TV on the wall.This way your television is up off the ground, and out of reach. It won’t stop your kids from throwing a toy at it, but at least they can’t bump into it, or accidentally knock something, or someone into it.

Don’t allow video games. This might sound harsh (especially for the kids), but I’ve heard too many stories of Nintendo Wii controllers being accidentally thrown at the TV. If you don’t hook up a video game console to your TV, this can’t happen.

Most TV repair shops won’t even bother trying to fix a broken screen. In the end, between a screen replacement and the repair costs, you’d spend the same amount for a brand new TV!

Update your video drivers. If your screen isn’t completely black, but you see visual defects on the screen, try updating your video drivers. You may have a malfunctioning or glitchy driver.

Try to unstick your stuck pixels. If you’re dealing with one or more stuck pixels, you can use an app to try and unstick them. These apps typically cycle between colors rapidly or generate digital snow to force a dead or stuck pixel to start working again.

Try to fix your burn-in. If it looks more like you have ghosts of old images stuck on your screen, then you can try a white screen saver or a few other potential fixes to remove the burn-in.

Check your screen and backlight connections. If you have experience with disassembling laptops, you can remove the bezel around your screen, hinge covers, or other case components to reveal the screen and backlight wires and connectors. Make sure everything is fully seated and the cables aren’t crimped or broken.

Replace the screen. If nothing else works, then your screen probably has to be replaced. Screens with large black or colored bars, black holes, or colors that seem to run are typically beyond repair. If it"s a cracked screen, that’s also a clue you’ll have to replace it.

Make use of your broken laptop by salvaging the hard drive as an external hard drive and selling any other parts that still work. If the display still works, use it as a standalone monitor. If you decide to sell your laptop, perform a factory reset to wipe your personal files.

Getting your screen professionally repaired will likely cost $200 or more. You may be able to find a screen and replace it yourself for less than $100. Before you spend money on repairs, consider upgrading to a new laptop.
