I wouldn"t call it a full assembly because I had to remove the touch control board and surface connectors from the old panel to transfer to the new one. Once everything was connected I went into the BIOS to test out the touch controls and found it worked beautifully.

Once Windows was installed and the touch drivers were also installed everything worked seamlessly like new. Make sure you check on your old panel for the part number otherwise you might not have the right part for your Surface Pro 4. I believe Microsoft used Samsung and LG to manufacture their LCD"s.

There is no way to tell which panel you have unless you remove your old panel and check on the back. This will save from returns and hassle if you know the part number you need. I"m glad they had a photo of panel they were selling where I could make out the part number and order the correct part for my Surface Pro 4.
