ibuypower lcd screen case made in china
The media could not be loaded. Okay so for starters the quality of material in this is actually really nice it"s fully battle and the level of detail and just slight modifications that they have done to it just make it pretty easy to guide cables and stuff however you want, it is also a big case so if you have a somewhat smaller computer like mine and then you"re going to only take up about like half of the PC case but it"s also nice cuz you can fit just about any component in there. Now I do have to say mounting fans especially water cooled ones is going to be pretty difficult so it doesn"t have any top mounting nor right hand side mounting for anything the only mounting you have for fans is near the rear IO and the two fan areas in the back of the case. But like I said the quality put into this case is phenomenal it even has mesh guards on every single one of the fan outlets including the bottom one for the power supply. One thing I was kind a little disappointed by it was the fact that the display is made out of acrylic they say it"s made out of tempered glass but it feels like acrylic to me I could be wrong though and the fact that if you don"t have light-ish components it"s going to be pretty difficult to see the stuff on the screen. Speaking of the screen this is definitely the best part about it a lot of people say it"s just a gimmick but I find it incredibly useful especially when I"m playing video games and I can"t just click out of all of my stuff for whatever just to see how my hardware is doing and to have it just right next to me on my PC case is honestly a huge thing for me. But if you don"t want to put little widgets on it you can put wallpapers single colored things it"s awesome like you can even black it out to where you can"t even see the inside of it. This case also comes with three fans they"re not very good they look like third-party aftermarket probably Chinese knockoffs and only one of them lights up and even the lights are pretty disappointing so if you"re getting this cuz it comes with fans sorry to say but they"re not really worth it. The rest of the case has a very nice sleek look to it the right front side of the case has this cool techie lights and I think you can change the color of it through your motherboard"s RGB software so that"s really cool and also has lights that shine through the back where all of your stuff plugs in and I like that cuz it lights up all your ports especially during night gaming so you can see if you need to unplug a plug something in. Now to get all the widgets and stuff on it I do have to admit it was a pretty decent hassle for me, mainly because I didn"t know what I was doing I"ve never done something like this before but really the only problem I had was with rain meter it just refused to open and then just a countless things you have to go through and it"s just super complicated but once you get that done you can just go to a website download a theme or a widget that you like download it and then go to rain meter upload the skin and then depending on the widget sometimes you can customize like what version you want if you want to be circle or square or just a line or something like that you could also depending on the way that you can change the color of them especially for the music ones and you just drag it over to the display and set it up however you want put your favorite background on it and set all of the software to start up when you start up your computer and you"re all set. I was told that the air flow in this case is bad and it"s definitely lacking I wouldn"t say it"s bad, I can"t remember but I do believe that my CPU temperature has risen by about 5° since I put it in this case but that could be because I was using the aftermarket fans that were in it as my cooling fan for my water cooled CPU because I thought it lit up and then I was kind of disappointed and I haven"t taken it out. The case is also very silent now if you do have an airplane of a GPU or a CPU cooler fan then you might hear it a little bit but when I started my stuff up it was a huge difference compared to my other case and I thought that was really awesome it"s probably like this because 90% of it"s closed off but it"s definitely something that I like about it. You"re going to have to buy a display cord to HDMI if your GPU only has one HDMI port like mine does I have an RX 590, you can also try to find an HDMI to DVI port if your GPU is that old but unless you have two HDMI ports on your GPU you"re going to have to buy another cord because this requires to be plugged into your graphics card. And if you just want to have fun that you can use this as a gaming monitor now it is see-through and it"s not the greatest resolution I think it"s like 1200 x 900 resolution but it is absolutely doable if you want to

Year to year, CES gives us a peek into the current state of PC hardware and technology. We’d heard that iBUYPOWER had some exciting announcements coming down the pipeline, so we decided to pay them a visit on the showroom floor. Here’s what they showed us:
If you’re an aspiring esports pro who wants a machine that doesn’t compromise power for flexibility, you’re going to want to take a look at the iBUYPOWER® Revolt 3. The iBUYPOWER® Revolt line promises a small form factor while still packing a powerful punch. This is a system for people who like gaming with a professional-grade rig that they could even take on the go.
As with the other Revolt systems, iBUYPOWER wanted the Revolt 3 to showcase its most visually stunning components front and center. It sports dual tempered glass windows on either side to ensure that every component gets its time in the spotlight.
The iBUYPOWER® Snowblind is back with Snowblind S. Forget RGB lighting — the fully customizable, transparent LCD side panel on this PC is the pushing the limits of what on-chassis displays can be.
Snowblind S iterates upon the original by adding a “hot plug” feature that allows the user to detach and re-attach the LCD side panel with ease, all without having to adjust its electrical connection. There’s even a special latch that allows for much easier removal and replacement.
This new feature is a huge improvement. On the original Snowblind, removing the side panel to maintain or modify your PC was a hassle as the screen needed to be tethered to the machine. Now, getting into the interior of the system is as easy as unlatching the panel, and signal returns as soon as you reattach it.
The Snowblind S also features a new ARC 504 chassis, which cuts back on the material and encloses everything in a much more economical case while still remaining just as durable as the original Snowblind’s chassis. It’s all in all a visually awe-inspiring machine, made all the more impressive by the ability to customize its LCD display however you see fit.
Along with the Snowblind S reveal, iBUYPOWER also announced that the Snowblind side panel is coming to their modular Case Builder chassis. This means that, while customizing your order online, you can simply choose the Snowblind panel as an upgrade. If you already have a Case Builder chassis, you can purchase the Snowblind panel as a standalone accessory. Luckily, the panel uses the same “hot plug” connection as the Snowblind S, so detaching and reattaching it should be easy.

iBUYPOWER incorporates hardline tubing, the legendary Snowblind LCD side panel and a dual chamber layout in its new generation of cases available for system integration
iBUYPOWER, a leading manufacturer of custom gaming PCs, today announced the expansion of its signature Element case line. The Element CL will be designed for easy integration of hardline custom cooling curated for pre-built systems while the Element Dual will provide users with ample thermal support and a clean internal layout for both pre-built systems and DIY enthusiasts.
For a different take on the traditional PC layout, the iBUYPOWER Element Dual features a binary chamber design. With the PSU mounted vertically on the bottom right side of the case and hidden behind the motherboard tray, users will be left with an open aesthetic on the left side and substantial space for maximum component compatibility; including: E-ATX and ATX motherboards, up to 400mm GPUs and 155mm CPU air coolers.
Mounting rails on the Element Dual provide support for the three included 120mm addressable RGB (ARGB) fans on the side and one included 120mm ARGB fan at the rear. Three additional 120mm fans can be added to the bottom and top of the case, as well, for flexible airflow paths. The open space of the Element Dual makes it possible to mount up to a 360mm radiator on the bottom of the case, 240mm on the side and a 120mm on the rear for optimal thermal support to keep systems running cool.
Constructed with a black, full-steel frame and paneling and a tempered glass front and side panel, the Element Dual will feature a solid premium build with a clear view of the internal system components. Dust filters cover the four air intake zones of the Element Dual located on the top, bottom and two areas on the right-side panel of the case to aid in thermal performance and reduce debris buildup. Users will have no shortage of connectivity with one USB 3.1 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and one audio jack on the I/O.
Designed with an integrated front panel distribution plate for easier bends and less complicated routing, the iBUYPOWER Element CL will bring the beauty and efficiency of hardline liquid cooling to customers looking to purchase a pre-built iBUYPOWER PC. Systems housed in the Element CL will also come equipped with custom water blocks for the CPU and GPU as well as custom fittings that will minimize the risk of tubes coming loose.
The Element CL offers a sleek and minimalistic exterior aesthetic. While the Element CL will be available in a black finish, iBUYPOWER will also produce a white Snowblind version of this case. The Snowblind CL will have all the features of the Element CL, including the front panel distribution plate, with the addition of the signature transparent 1280 x 1024 19" TN LCD side panel.
Systems built in the Element and Snowblind CL will come rigged with a side mounted 360mm radiator, three 120mm RGB fans mounted to the radiator and one 120mm fan mounted to the rear of the case for exhaust. Two ventilation areas located on the top panel and directly behind the radiator mount allow for air intake and exhaust to provide additional thermal support to the Element and Snowblind CL. For easy connectivity the I/O of both the Element and Snowblind CL are located on the top of the case with two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and one audio jack.

Superior performance, reliability, cutting edge technology and timely production make iBUYPOWER the authority in PC gaming.
Most trade show tech demos never actually wind up as retail products. But that won’t be the case for iBuypower’s mesmerizing Project Snowblind case, which will go on sale next month.
The concept, which iBuypower developed with help from Intel, takes a transparent LCD display typically used in digital signage, and integrates it into the side of an NZXT N450 case.
This means video or system diagnostics can be displayed on the case window, all without obscuring the high-end components inside. Since it’s an LCD panel, the window requires power—and content—so it plugs into the system’s graphics card. In the near-final Snowblind system iBuypower showed me, the case display appeared in the OS as a second monitor, and Snowblind widgets were running on the free Rainmeter desktop skinning tool.
The transparent display effect looks best when running over an all white interior. And because these LCD screens are delicate, iBuypower protects them with a layer of glass. The screen size is about 19 inches diagonal with a resolution of 1280×1024. iBuypower also said the final iteration will support color images and video, though it will be somewhat washed out.
Theat 1280×1024 resolution may sound absurdly low for a modern display, but for a case window, the video and the images appeared quite sharp to my eye.
Transparent digital signage isn’t new technology, but iBuypower looks to be first to integrate this kind of display into a PC, and actually sell it for an affordable price.
That last point is the kicker. When iBuypower showed off Snowblind at Computex in June, most thought it was cool but expected it to be far too expensive to ever be implemented.
Getting inside the Snowblind Element isn’t too difficult but I wouldn’t call it easy as well. The two clips that hold the side panel on are easy to use, but holding those two clips and trying to pull the panel open without growing a third hand was interesting. That said when opened up I couldn’t wait to take a look at the LCD side panel. I will say though, BE CAREFUL. For one, this is an LCD screen, hitting the inside of the panel could damage it. More importantly, the tempered glass side panel is heavy, add in everything for the screen and when you open the side panel up it can want to tip over. Especially after you take the steel back panel off. I would hate to see someone dump their brand new case over and bust the glass or worse. While it does have a hinged design that you can lift off, there are cables running from the side panel inside of the case so removing the side panel wouldn’t be recommended.
SO what makes it all tick? Well if you are getting old like I am, you might remember old school projectors at school. I don’t mean one that you hook up to a PC or TV. I mean the style that a teacher can write on plastic sheets and project on to the wall. When I was in school and we used those, there were LCD screens you could sit on top of the projector that would shine the light through the LCD. That is basically what is going on. The backlighting used in a normal monitor is gone and they have the LCD panel attached to the glass side panel. Then the inside of the case is all white and around the edge of the LCD are bright white LEDs to light everything up to get that backlight. I knew this is how it all worked, but I was impressed when I opened the case up to see all of the plastic casing used to hold the lighting around the window. This is the difference between going with what iBuypower has done and patching this same setup into your own case. This is a complete product.
Now, just like with a monitor there has to be a controller for the screen to translate the incoming signal and they have tucked that and the power inside. This is also covered up with a nice white plastic panel. There is no idea solution, unlike with a laptop or an all in one, with a traditional PC case the display connection that the LCD needs is going to be outside at the end of your video card. So they use a PCI slot and on the outside, this has a DVI or VGA connection that you can loop back into your GPU. They also include the cable for that as well.
So moving to the rest of the interior there are a few things to note going on. For starters, if you look really close you can spot the NZXT logo under the big CPU bracket cutout, which confirms what I was mentioned earlier. Of course, the wire runner that runs to the right of the motherboard is also a big clue, which is a signature NZXT feature used to hide wiring. It works really well for this case because you want the most white possible and this covers an opening or black grommets and black cables. iBuypower did slap their logo on it as well. The case has a PSU bottom mouse design and the PSU and wiring are all enclosed in its own bottom section which covers up more potential black with a big bright white box. Ironically though the front of the case then has a big black cover over top of the front fans, which combined with the rear fan that is black is really the only black you will find in the case. Other than the black standoffs and screws. Seriously though, for years silver screws were the norm. This would have been a great one to go back to them on.
So at the rear of the case, the Snowblind Element does come with a 120mm fan and it isn’t a fan I’ve seen before. It is branded as Arc and it is a simple black frame clear blade non-LED fan. Above that you get a peek at the LED power button that I mentioned on the back of the case. You can see how it is tucked away next to the rear I/O. This powers all of the LEDs for the LCD side panel to give you a manual option to turn them off while keeping your PC on.
Here is a closer look at the white wire cover that runs almost the full height of the case. The ibuypower logo looks really good here and it is in a spot that will most likely not get covered as well. Then you have the front fan housing which basically looks like someone messed up and put their mouse vent inside the case. This is actually how the two 120mm front fans are mounted. They attach to the plastic louver cover than the cover attached to the front of the case. If the front panel design which restricts airflow isn’t enough, let"s give even more resistance here inside. Not only that but it also airs most of the air that is coming in, up.
Moving around to the backside of the case. We can finally see inside of the magical PSU box down at the bottom. It runs the full length of the case which means you can fit huge power supplies if needed and you have all the room you could ever want for hiding wiring. The area behind the motherboard tray, on the other hand, is a little tighter, I would be very careful to keep all of your thick wires over there by the wire hider which has more room. The PSU area does have two 3.5 inch drive mounts and it also came with a few accessories. There was an NZXT branded box with three different types of screws including PSU screws and a few extra motherboard standoffs as well as an extra thumbscrew. There is also a nice sized bundle of zip ties as well. I mentioned it earlier but given the goal of going as bright white as possible, this is the one time that the silver screws that every case used to come with would be a better choice over black screws. You also get a magnetic fan filter that you can use on the top of the case if you mount a top fan as an intake. Then you have a relatively short DisplayPort to DVI cable for hooking up the LCD to your GPU.
Formerly only available with the purchase of a complete system, the iBUYPOWER Snowblind mid-tower ATX case is now available as a stand alone product. A unique translucent side-panel LCD display that allows virtually limitless customization can also help you to avoid spending money on RGB-lit fans, stickers, etching, custom paint jobs, or color matched components by instead simulating those features on its built-in display.
Though the Snowblind isn"t currently on our list of best PC cases, it is a really cool product that, both literally and figuratively, that should be on your shortlist.
Constructed of steel, plastic and tempered glass, the iBUYPOWER Snowblind is painted white inside and out apart from black accents on the tempered glass panels. Measuring 18.7 x 8.26 x 17.2 inches (475 x 203 x 437 mm) and tipping the scales at just under 15 lbs (12.3 kg), this $300 (£300) chassis comes with a two-year limited warranty.
The tempered glass front is mounted to a plastic frame that sits roughly one inch from the chassis. Three of the case’s fans are mounted behind the front panel. The rear panel is made of stamped steel and is secured in place with metal thumb screws.
The Snowblind"s signature feature is a 1024 x 1280 19 inch see-through LCD side panel. This panel can be used to display images, animated GIFs, YouTube videos, music players, animated wallpapers, movies or any combination thereof. The side panel is essentially a secondary display. Anything you can do on a regular monitor, you can do on the Snowblind"s translucent side panel.
In the opening of this review we said that, although the case is expensive, it can actually save you money in the long run. How? The see-through LCD side panel allows you to customize the color scheme of your system components without buying RGB-lit fans or lighting strips. There is no need to color match components, because you can use any photo editing software (Paint / Photoshop) to change the color of all of your hardware just as you would add lighting effects.
Want to add flashy lights and animations to your CPU, GPU and memory? In less than five minutes I was able to make an animated GIF in Photoshop and apply it as a background. iBuyPower recommends overlays and wallpaper programs such as Rainmeter and Wallpaper Engine but any program that can display images and videos can be used on this display. For instance, we used Windows Media Player to watch movies and MS Photos to display images and animated gifs.
The bottom of the case is equipped with a filtered hole for power supply ventilation. The four rubber-coated feet keep the case approximately three quarters of an inch off the floor to facilitate air intake to the PSU.
