Ok.... look. I am working on a PhD in Robotics and hold an MS in electrical engineering. These spots will go away, but only after many on/off + rgb + bl cycles UNLESS the screen is cracked. Electrons displace themselves from each other. At some point, something got squished. My advice, use your device SPARINGLY but DO USE IT. Turn on the display at least once a day, no more than a dozen, for a few weeks. If the spots are growing, you may have a seal problem preventing the screen aligning itself. If they are EXACTLY the same. New screen bezel, sorry.
The most attractive part of your phone is the screen, yet it’s also the most delicate component. This is why it requires special care and attention. Physical damage to your screen mostly takes the form of obvious cracks in the glass, but you may also come across what appears like an ink spot (blot) or bleeding pixels. When the black spot is spreading on your phone screen, you need to have the screen replaced. If you try to repair the phone yourself, you may cause more damage to it, thus complicating the issue.
Hence, seek the help of professionals. Fortunately, Carlcare service center is here to assist you in replacing the damaged screen with an original unit.

As often as you use your smartphone, it’s almost inevitable that you’ll eventually drop it. You may be extremely careful, but it only takes one fumble for your phone to tumble. While iPhone screens are designed to withstand impact, you might still end up with a shattered screen.
The good news: a broken screen doesn’t mean your phone is kaput. In fact, if only the glass is broken, the fix is quick and inexpensive. The bad news: if the LCD screen is broken, you’re looking at a pricier repair.
If you’ve looked into replacement parts, you’ve likely come across two very different options: a glass screen, and an LCD screen. While the first option is cheap, the second is definitely not. Here’s the difference:
1. The glass screen is the exterior layer on your phone’s display. While it is specially engineered for durability, it’s still just glass (between layers of plastic film), which is why it’s not very pricey to replace.
Most of the time, the damage to your screen will be pretty obvious. You’ll see the spider web patterns of shattered glass across the front of your iPhone. Occasionally, however, the glass screen will be intact, and you might not realize the damage until you try to use it. Whether the damage is visible or not, it’s a good idea to run a quick diagnostic to determine the extent of it.
If you encounter any of these problems, you’re dealing with a broken LCD screen. If the glass is shattered, but the display is clear and touch capability is working, that’s a good sign. The problem is probably just the glass screen.
Whether you’re dealing with cracked glass or a broken LCD screen, you can find a quick, reliable repair service at FastPhoneRepair.com. Our qualified technicians will get your iPhone repaired and up and running again in record time and at reasonable rates.

The black spots are simply surface defects caused by dirt or other particles on your laptop’s screen glass or by defects in the LCD pixels. They are neither cracks nor tears that will cause the display failure in the future, nor are they the signs of broken glass.
Excessively hot or cold temperatures: Leaving your laptop unprotected near a heating source can cause pixels on the LCD to freeze. Even temperatures well below acceptable levels can have the same effect.
Humid Environment: Consult the user manual to determine the ideal range of humidity levels in which to operate your laptop. Leaving Your LCD screen turned on in high humidity may allow tiny droplets of moisture to reach the interior exposed portions of your display, resulting in pixel malfunction.
Static display over a long time: If your laptop screen displays the same image for an extended period of time., the transistor may become fired. To avoid defective pixels on the display, Use your laptop in a secure location.
Gently rub the dead pixel area: If you discover that your laptop has a dead pixel there are a few things you can try. Rubbing it gently is one of the simplest things to do, especially if the dead pixels are on the border of your screen where it is barely visible. Before attempting this procedure, make sure your laptop’s screen is clean and clear of dust. Most dirt should be removed by wiping with a soft cloth.
JScreenFix: This is a website that can assist you with dead or stuck pixels. Because the site is completely free, no expensive equipment or software is necessary. You only need your laptop and an internet connection to get started. A step-by-step approach to resolving the problem is provided below!

Are there lines or spots in your iPhone screen? We understand you might think this is quite strange and not how it should be. You are correct and in this blog we will explain you what the stripes and/or spots mean. With that in mind we will take a look at the following issues: Green lines on the screen of your iPhone X, XS or 11 pro
When iPhones that have OLED screens – iPhone X, XS, 11 Pro – are dropped on the floor, the part that makes sure the screen works can get damaged. You can tell this happend when a green vertical line appears on your screen after you dropped the phone. This means your phone is not able to send the data that it’s supposed to show to the screen anymore. And is therefore showing a green line instead.
Sometimes it happens that white or grey vertical stripes appear on your phone screen. These lines usually go together with your touch screen not working correctly. This defect is caused by a short circuit in the screen. The white lines only appear on iPhones (5s, SE, 6, 6s, 7, 8) that have an LCD screen. LCD is the technique that is used to show the content on your phone’s screen.
When your screen has cracked, it is extremely vulnerable. A result of this vulnerability can be that the OLED, the part that makes the screen whole, also gets damaged. Causing black and/or blue and purple spots to show on the screen. If an individual pixel has been damaged, it will stay turned off and appear black. Once more pixels get damaged the black spots with spread over the screen like an oil stain.
What might be even more important then knowing the cause of the problem, is the solution to the problem. However, unfortunately all the above mentioned problems have the same solution: replacing the screen. You can have your screen replaced by all profesional smartphone repair stores in The Netherlands. Of course you can always go to ThePhoneLab when you are in Amsterdam, Utrecht of Haarlem. Through our website you can easily make an appointment, if you want to do so right away please click here. Having black spots on a TV screen can be very confusing and annoying for most TV owners. If you just spotted a black spot on your TV screen, you are probably worried that you’ll need to replace the entire set. But this should not be the case, especially since you spent a handsome figure getting the best TV available.
Perhaps the most common cause of black spots is dirt and debris that have accumulated on the surface of the TV screen over time. If ignored, it will lead to black spots.
Most TV owners would consider sending their TVs back to their manufacturer when they spot a black spot, like sending your best Vizio TV back to Vizio. Unfortunately, this can be time-consuming and expensive, especially if you’ve invested in one of the highest-rated OLED TVs and/or large models like the top 70-inch TV. While most new TVs sold are smart TVs, you can still buy what is referred to now as “dumb TVs”. If you want a TV without apps and an internet connection, this is the TV for you. If that interests you, check out these top-rated dumb TVs. But keep in mind, unlike most new TVs, dumb TVs will usually be smaller like a 24-inch size TV for example. Regardless if the TV is smart or dumb it can develop black spots, however. Fortunately, fixing a black spot is relatively easy. As a result, we have compiled a guide on how to fix a black spot on a TV screen.
Black spots can be a pain, especially if you just bought a wide color gamut TV and are looking to have enjoyable weekends. Regardless of where the black spot is located on your TV screen, it will stand out like a sore thumb. It’ll be the first thing you spot when your TV screen lights up. Black spots on your TV screen are caused by debris, dead pixels, or stuck pixels. This can be especially annoying if you invested in the best anti-glare TV and depend on good visuals for a good TV experience.Dirt or Debris: Perhaps the most common cause of black spots. Dirt and debris accumulate on the surface of the TV screen over time, and if ignored, will lead to black spots. If you have the best outdoor TV, be sure to keep up with maintenance and regularly clean it.
Manufacturer defect: Black spots will appear due to a violation of the assembly. They don’t appear immediately and often lead to damage to the display matrix. Black spots caused by manufacturer defects are usually covered by a warranty.
Stuck Pixel: A stuck pixel is a pixel on the TV display that cannot change color. Display pixels are designed to change color depending on the image projected on display. When the color doesn’t change, it’s called a stuck pixel.
Dead pixel: It’s pretty different from a stuck pixel but often gets confused for one. While a stuck pixel will light up when the TV is turned on but does not change color, a dead pixel doesn’t light up at all. This is because all of their sub-pixels are turned off permanently, and since they don’t light up, they look like black spots on the TV screen. You can read our article on how to fix dead pixels on a TV to learn more about dead pixels.
Fixing black spots on your TV screen is quite simple.First, turn off your television and unplug it from the power source for a few hours. Sometimes, turning off the power on your TV will force the stuck pixel to become unstuck when you finally plug your TV back to the mains.
Next, verify that the black spot issues aren’t caused by any devices plugged into your TV, like a console or cable box. Remove all cables connecting your TV to components, and then plug them back in. Sometimes, loose connections cause distorted images that look like dead pixels.
If a black spot is still visible, contact your manufacturer or repair shop for repair service. Depending on the time and nature of the black spot, The TV manufacturer might cover the repair under warranty. You can also try the clouding LED TV fix, which solves the black spot problem that is common among new TVs but often disappears as time goes by.

Accidental Damage is any damage due to an unintentional act that is not the direct result of a manufacturing defect or failure. Accidental damage is not covered under the standard warranty of the product. Such damage is often the result of a drop or an impact on the LCD screen or any other part of the product which may render the device non-functional. Such types of damage are only covered under an Accidental Damage service offering which is an optional add-on to the basic warranty of the product. Accidental Damage must not be confused with an occasional dead or stuck pixel on the LCD panel. For more information about dead or stuck pixels, see the Dell Display Pixel Guidelines.
No, accidental damage is covered for Dell computers or monitors which are covered under the Accidental Damage Service offering for that specific product.
For more information about Dell Limited Hardware Warranty and Dell"s Accidental Damage service offering, see the Dell Warranty & Support Services page.
NOTE: Other damages may be considered customer induced if determined by Dell Technical Support, an on-site field engineer, or at the mail-in repair center.
The LCD glass on the display is manufactured to rigorous specifications and standards and will not typically crack or break on its own under normal use. In general, cracked, or broken glass is considered accidental damage and is not covered under the standard warranty.
Internal cracks typically occur due to excessive force on the screen. This can be the result of some object hitting the screen, a drop, attempting to close the lid while an object is on the keypad area, or even holding the laptop by its screen.
Spots typically occur due to an external force hitting the screen causing damage to the LCD panel"s backlight assembly. While the top layer did not crack or break, the underlying area was compressed and damaged causing this effect.
If your Dell laptop LCD panel has any accidental damage but the laptop is not covered by the Accidental Damage service offering, contact Dell Technical Support for repair options.
Dell monitors cannot be repaired by an on-site field engineer or at the mail-in repair center. If you notice any damage to the monitor, you must purchase a new monitor.
Laptop users can strive to make the most of their laptops to maximize stability, longevity, and usability. Understanding and implementing a few best practices for the safe handling of their laptop will enable them to enjoy their laptop for many years to come. LED-backlit LCD TVs typically come in one of two sub-types of panels: Vertical Alignment (VA) or In-Plane Switching (IPS). VA panels tend to have much high contrast ratios, and therefore better black uniformity. IPS panels, on the other hand, have worse contrast ratios and suffer from more backlight issues that can affect black uniformity, including "IPS glow", which is a kind of "glow" effect that can be seen in the corners of IPS screens.
LED-backlit LCD TVs are prone to black uniformity issues, but OLED TVs can produce virtually perfect blacks because their pixels are self-emitting, and therefore don"t have the same limitations caused by improper backlight implementation. That means they don"t suffer from clouding or flashlighting as LED TVs do.
Poorly designed backlight placement. The type of backlight and its position directly affects the uniformity of the screen. The worst uniformity can be found on edge-lit LED TVs, because the LEDs are only on the edge of the screen. Full-array LED TVs have good uniformity because their LEDs are spread out across the whole screen. Some edge-lit TVs have great uniformity. You can learn more about different backlights here.
Non-uniform frame pressure. Both the LCD screen and the diffuser layers are somewhat flexible. A slight difference in pressure on the frame of the television can change the uniformity of the picture. On some televisions, this can be fixed (see below).
Uneven lighting intensity. Sometimes, the intensity between two lighting components can vary in a set (for example, one LED could be slightly brighter than an LED next to it). This is less likely to happen with a brand new TV but can start appearing over time if some components age and degrade faster than others.
Flashlighting can sometimes be fixed on some televisions. If the flashlighting is caused by pressure from the TV"s frame, you can adjust it by slightly loosening or tightening the screws behind the edge of the screen. Some TVs don"t expose the screws, however, so this won"t always be possible. You should also keep in mind that a small change in the tightness of a screw can have a big impact on the uniformity of the screen, so be careful if ever you do try this step. While this can fix the issue, we don"t recommend it unless you know exactly what you"re doing, as it may cause more problems than it solves.
For clouding, there"s a pretty simple fix that—while not guaranteed—can have good results. Power on the TV and display a black image. This will allow you to see the lighter spots on the screen. Next, take a soft cloth and massage those brighter spots to improve the uniformity. You should only apply very gentle pressure, just barely touching the screen. You can also try a few different stroking patterns. If you are patient enough, this works surprisingly often, especially on edge-lit TVs, although you should be very careful to avoid damaging your screen.
Alternatively, you might consider returning or exchanging your television. Some models are more prone than others to having issues. Even within the same model, some units can have more uniformity issues than others because of slight variation in the manufacturing or shipping process. It can be worth trying to exchange it for the same model before going with an entirely different TV. Extreme cases of clouding are also covered under a TV"s warranty.
Backlight uniformity issues don"t increase over time unless a large amount of stress is put upon the panel (in the case of a big temperature swing, for instance, or if the TV is moved).
Sometimes, just letting the TV settle for a few days after unpacking it can solve the issue. This is especially true if the TV is laid on the side during shipping/moving.
Black uniformity refers to how evenly a TV can display black across the screen, especially when displaying a bright object over a dark background. It’s important when watching dark scenes in a dark room, and while most people shouldn’t notice black uniformity issues like flashlighting and clouding, they can become more apparent when the issues are especially bad. You won’t need to worry about these problems in rooms with lights on, though. For each TV, we take a photo of a black frame to capture the black uniformity, and then we calculate the color values of the pixels to find the standard deviation of the uniformity. We then do the same with local dimming enabled.
You may be able to remove flashlighting (to some degree) by tightening the screws of the TV’s frame. This can have pretty dramatic effects on the picture, though, so you should be very careful when attempting this. For clouding, gently massaging problem areas with a soft cloth often does a good job of fixing bad uniformity. In the end, the safest bet may be to simply return or exchange your TV if you can, since uniformity varies between individual units.

Slowly drag your finger to the bottom right corner without lifting. Try to move your finger slowly enough that you can count to 10 before reaching the opposite corner of the screen.
Under your Pixel 5 phone’s screen, at the top center, you can see a white dot. This white dot is your proximity sensor. When your proximity sensor is on, the dot shows through the display. The dot can blink or stay solid.
Your proximity sensor keeps your phone’s screen off while you hold your phone near your face during a call, when your screen is locked, and when used by certain apps. Keeping the screen off helps save battery and avoid accidental taps on the screen.
All Pixel phones have proximity sensors. Because the Pixel 5’s display goes almost to the edge, you can see the Pixel 5’s sensor under the screen. Check our Pixel 5 phone diagram.
IMPORTANT: A factory data reset will remove all data from your phone. While any data stored in your Google Account will be restored, all apps and their associated data will be uninstalled. Before you perform a factory data reset, we recommend backing up your phone.
People who’ve used televisions all their lives and have grown comfortable with the easy functionality and convenience will likely face issues in the starting stages of using a projector.
If not properly cleaned, the air filters are not changed regularly, and the device is kept running for hours on end, a projector is bound to encounter issues.
One prevalent concern is the dark spots on the projected images. If you see blemishes in your projector images, do not ignore them, even if the marks are minor or not hampering your viewing experience.
Different things could have caused the issue, and overlooking the underlying problem may not only cause the blotch to get bigger, but can also open a can of other concerns.
Not all dark spots on your projector are the same. Some are big, and some are small. And there are different colors too—brown, black, white, yellow, etc.
Start cleaning the spots using a dry, clean, lens-friendly microfiber cloth or wipe, such as this MagicFiber Microfiber Cleaning Cloths or Koala Lens Cleaning Cloth .
After cleaning, turn on the projector and see if the spots are still there. If they stay put, the issue may be more technical and complex than initially imagined.
Warning: The projector lamp becomes hot to the touch very quickly and the light is extremely bright. Keep that in mind when cleaning the projector while it’s still on to avoid burning yourself.
Pry open the door or unscrew the lone screw holding the flap in place. Since the projector is powered, you’d be greeted with an extremely bright light source. Do not look at the light to not damage your eyes. Cover the light source with your hand if that helps.
If you like the real-time cleaning feedback but are wary of the projector being too hot to the touch, turn the device off and let it cool for some time. Once the heat has dissapitated, turn on the projector and start cleaning.
If the overheating issue had been unchecked for a long period, the core components could have been damaged. In such cases, you’ll have to replace them too.
Solution: Repairing the LCD is not an option, but you can replace it. Unfortunately, changing the LCD could be expensive. Also, you’d probably require a skilled technician to do the work.
The DMD (digital micromirror device) is a silicon chip vital to any DLP projector’s functioning. The chip is comprised of multiple tiny mirrors with reflective aluminum surfaces.
Each mirror represents one pixel or spot of any image, and all the pixels together make up an image. Despite their enormous population, the multiple tiny mirrors are adept at working in sync.
Solution: If the DMD chip is broken or malfunctioning, the only solution is to replace it. Get an expert or talk to customer support to replace the chip and confirm the DMD chip is faulty.
If your device is under warranty, the manufacturer will do the replacement for free. If not, you may have to buy the chip on your own and get a professional for the installation.
Although the signs of an aging lamp are usually reduced in brightness, some bulbs could exhibit dark spots on images instead to remind you of their state.
If your lamp is nearing its end of life, the dark spots could be due to the diminishing bulb. But if the projector is relatively new, the light is likely not the cause.
The polarizing film on the glass filter could have burned due to overheating and subsequent spotting, once again because of a sub-par or non-functioning cooling fan.
If you do a lot of projector sessions outdoors under the bright sun, with or without shade, your projector will heat up a lot more than usual, causing dark spots on the projected images and, most likely, a host of other concerns.
Not to mention, your projector will become more prone to outside air and the various particles in it, making it much easier for the filter to get clogged up, causing overheating problems.
Sporadic outdoor projector sessions are fine but don’t make that a habit. Most importantly, ensure your projector is under shade and clean the device immediately after you take it indoors.
The above issues clarify one thing: overheating is at the root of it all. If you can control your projector’s temperature, you can avoid dark spots and other related concerns.
Projectors heating is normal, but overheating is not. Therefore, turn off the device if it gets too hot to touch or if the fan is too loud. And if the projector gets extremely hot within minutes, there may be another significant issue.
Dark spots on projector images may seem innocuous at first. But the dots will multiply and get bigger if you don’t get to the root and try fixing the problem.
When you leave the issue unattended, the problem exacerbates over time, necessitating a potentially arduous and expensive repair job. In some cases, the projector could be beyond repair or warrant the parts’ replacement, costing close to a new projector’s price.
