Locate the chip. It’s a tiny green circuit board about the quarter of the size of a postage stamp. They are often located on the front or bottom of your printer cartridge.
Bend a paperclip. You know the trick. You’ve been bending paper clips to solve computer problems since the days of floppy disks! In case you don’t know, simply find a sturdy paper clip and bend one leg out straight. This makes a perfect “poker” for getting inside those tiny buttons and eject ports that can be found on nearly all modern electronics. The stiff wire of a bent paperclip is perfect for resetting the chip on your ink cartridge.
Press the tiny reset button located beside the chip and hold for 10 seconds. Depending on the brand and model of the cartridge, you may not need to hold the button for 10 seconds, but it won’t harm the cartridge so do it anyway just to be safe.
Clearing the memory can give you a more accurate idea of your printer’s ink levels, the number of pages still available to print, and other valuable printing information.
Don’t make the same mistake with your printer’s ink levels. (If you stain your hands or clothes while refilling, turn that frown upside down! Here’s how to clean up!)
This is your reset button, and the only way to get in there is either with a paper clip or the tip of a pen (which will leave a tiny ink smudge on the button).
Some of the battery-powered models may not have enough voltage to fully reset your cartridge, whereas you’ll never have to worry about a power supply if you have a USB-powered resetter.

Shake your cartridge. The first thing you should try with an HP LaserJet cartridge that’s supposedly empty. This old-school trick will free up the toner particles that are stuck to the inside walls and nooks. After you mount it back to your printer, it may register it as full. You may need to deactivate the ink-saving mode for the printer to detect toner levels properly.
Install an HP chip to a replacement cartridge. This requires some fine motor skills and good tools. You’ll also possibly need to turn off toner level monitoring on the printer.
Get an aftermarket chip for a refilled cartridge. The majority of modern HP toner cartridges are equipped with a small chip that communicates toner levels to the printer.
Canon printers have thermal printheads. The ink actually cools the print heads down, and if you run empty cartridges the print heads can overheat and get damaged.
So, if you replace and remove the four Canon cartridges, and, on the fifth attempt, install a newly refilled cartridge, the printer should accept the cartridge, and ink levels should read as full.
Another warning will pop up on the printer’s screen detailing that you are using refilled or third-party cartridges and may void the printer’s warranty.
Each time you install a refilled or third-party cartridge you will need to follow the on-screen instructions to disable the Lexmark ink monitoring software.

Olympus has bailed-out of the consumer camera business. Rodenstock and Schneider have switched to machine vision. That"s three companies who are evolving away from photography.
Rodenstock, so I have heard from someone who works there, produces lenses for Leica. Rodenstock was divided into different companies and I believe only the divsion of glasses (eye/vision correction) remained at the original Rodenstock company. The photo division has been sold multiple times. If a division is past on all the time this is not good for company assets.
Schneider only lenses I have ever seen have been made for Phase One / Mamiya. However the Schneider branded lenses were all made by Mamiya. Not saying that they are bad. Zeiss lenses are made by Cosina or Tamron as widely known.

As having explained earlier a healthy popultion within cities consists of all soacial strata. In big cities the normnal worker cannot afford renting a flat/house however, they are needed to serve the community. Who is stacking the shelves at your local supermarket etc... They are equally important as managers or enigneers.. Moving and selling everything to China is bad for the quality of life you enjoy now. 80% we consume is coming from China and again I think locally produced products are more sustainable and more environmentally friendly.

Here in Seattle, we"re always told how every old house and building is torn down and replaced with some ugly Corporate shoebox is wholly necessary because "density".. but it"s two grand a month for a broom closet literally the size of an RV inside while the working man"s wage in toto is barely two grand a month.
There should be a law that the percentage of new units built should mirror the affordability by the income bracket percentage of local residents. In other words, if 90 percent of the people in an area make $18-22 an hour, then 90 percent of units built should reflect that, and should be rented out at a realistically affordable price like $800 per month. Right now in Seattle, new units for the $250K and up crowd are being built six times faster than 10 years ago..
Over half of the tent dwellers along the streets of Seattle *have full time employment* but cannot afford anything in Seattle.. Or for that matter, east as far as Issaquah where the new units they just built start out at $2600 a month yet developers were given huge tax breaks because they were marketed to us as "affordable."
So the developers pay no taxes, get huge profits, and taxpayers subsidize some of those units to be affordable to the food stamp receiving Amazon workers who have to live there and commute to Seattle. Because you know, Amazon is a struggling startup who can"t afford to pay its workers a living wage..
There"s a difference between "rich" as in I bust my butt and grow my bike shop into a business that cracks the seven digit mark in gross sales.. and "wealth" as in so many untaxed billions of dollars that it is impossible to spend it all-and the sociopathic need to get even more and share even less of it.

On March 26, 2007, the Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB) announced that Eastman Kodak was resigning its national membership in the wake of expulsion proceedings initiated by the CBBB board of directors.
Kodak said its customer service and customer privacy teams concluded that 99% of all complaints forwarded by the BBB already were handled directly with the customer. Brian O’Connor, Kodak chief privacy officer, said the company was surprised by the news release distributed by the Better Business Bureau:
It is inaccurate in the facts presented as well as those the BBB chose to omit. Ironically, we ultimately decided to resign our membership because we were extremely unhappy with the customer service we received from the local office of the BBB. After years of unproductive discussions with the local office regarding their Web site postings about Kodak, which in our view were consistently inaccurate, we came to the conclusion that their process added no value to our own. Our commitment to our customers is unwavering. That will not change. What has changed is that, for us, the BBB"s customer complaint process has become redundant, given the multiple and immediate ways that customers have to address their concerns directly with Kodak.
In July 2021, Kodak removed a post on Xinjiang from its Instagram page. The photo was taken by the photographer Patrick Wack who describes the region as an "Orwellian dystopia" in a reference to the Uyghur genocide. In later statements on Instagram and WeChat, Kodak declared its Instagram page was not a "platform for political commentary" and affirmed their "close cooperation with various [Chinese] government departments".

However, if all you need to do is print stacks of professional-quality documents, a laser printer (either monochrome or color) might make sense. A monochrome laser is good for simple text printing needs because it has a low cost per page. For greater versatility, a multifunction inkjet printer, also known as an all-in-one printer, may be the better choice—especially if you’re using a single printer for work and family. All-in-one printers can print, scan and copy documents; some add fax capabilities and an automatic document feeder as well.

The Epson EcoTank ET-3850 strikes a strong balance between features and value. The ink tanks hold enough ink to generate 7,500 black and white pages or 6,000 full-color pages before needing a refill—and it comes with a full ink set. It prints letter- and legal-size paper and can print borderless images on premium photo paper. The front paper tray holds 250 sheets.
This printer uses a 2.4-inch color display along with buttons on the front panel to navigate among functions. Printing up to 8.5 x 11- inch photos or two-sided documents is also possible, but this slows down print speed. Epson supports wireless printing via several protocols, including Apple’s AirPrint and Mopria. In the mid-price range, this Epson printer will meet most expectations and needs for a home office.
The Brother INKvestment Tank MFC-J4335DW is a highly capable printer that does more than most at the same price. With a hybrid ink tank/cartridge system, a single set of four ink cartridges can last about a year. Brother’s INKvestment high-yield ink cartridges load from the front of the printer and can print up to 6,000 (black) or 5,000 (color) pages per refill, much more than you’d get with a standard cartridge design. The front of the printer has a 1.8 inch color touchscreen display and a full touchpad. You can also control it using the Brother Mobile Connect app or Amazon Alexa voice commands.
The printer has an impressive 4800 x 1200 dpi print resolution, for creating sharp output. It supports Apple AirPrint and Wi-Fi Direct for wireless printing. You can also scan and print directly from popular cloud storage services, including Google Cloud, Dropbox and OneDrive. This model has automatic two-sided printing, but not scanning. The automatic document feeder can handle 20 pages at a time.
The HP Envy Inspire 7955e generates prints using two separate HP 64 (or HP 64 XL) ink cartridges. Print features include two-sided and borderless printing. It supports any paper size up to 8.5 x 14 inches, including labels and envelopes.
This printer features two paper trays and will automatically choose which paper to use based on the printing task at hand. The document feeder (for the copier or scanner) can hold up to 35 pages. It has a handy 2.7-inch touchscreen display for navigating options and the printer supports an array of wireless printing protocols, including Apple AirPrint and Mopria. From our review of the HP Envy Inspire 7955e: Overall, the HP Envy Inspire 7955e does everything that HP promises the printer can do. It does not, however, perform all these tasks at an above average level. As a general-purpose printer, it offers decent value and performs well.
The HP LaserJet Tank MFP 2604sdw is part of HP’s Tank series designed with economical, refillable toner cartridges. The printer comes pre-loaded with what HP describes as up to two years’ worth of ink, and it supports toner cartridge refills with enough ink to print up to 2,500 ($17) and 5,000 ($30) pages. Not only is this printer affordable to maintain on a cost-per-page basis, but it also quickly outputs long documents at a speedy 23ppm.
This all-in-one printer has a 40-page automatic document feeder, and a 250-sheet paper tray. The printer lacks a display; to control its features, you must use your computer or mobile device. Like other HP models, this printer supports a variety of wireless printing protocols, including HP Smart App, Apple AirPrint, Mopria and Wi-Fi Direct.
The Canon Pixma MegaTank G3260 offers all-around value and strong performance. It prints, copies and scans, has wireless printing (including Apple AirPrint compatibility) and accommodates a variety of popular paper sizes—from 3.5 x 3.5 inches to 8.5 x 11 inches. Plus, when you use photo paper, it produces beautiful borderless prints in the sizes of your choice.
Each time you refill the tanks with compatible ink, that ink will last the average user about two years (up to 6,000 black pages or 7,700 color pages). It has a two-line LCD display and buttons to navigate the unit’s functions.
The Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550 has a premium price, but it also is a premium all-in-one. It’s a superb choice for printing photos, graphics, flyers or worksheets. Unlike normal all-in-one models, Epson has optimized this printer specifically for photo output. It delivers detailed prints with vibrant colors by using a six-color ink system—two more than found in the regular EcoTank line. The printer is fast and reasonable to operate. You can create 4 x 6-inch photo prints in about 15 seconds, at a cost of about four cents each.
The 4.3-inch, full-color LCD touchscreen display on the front makes it easy to operate the printer. This wireless model also has such useful features as double-sided printing and it can print on up to 13 x 19 paper—larger than the typical printer. The printer has a 100-sheet plain paper tray, a 20 sheet 5 x 7-inch photo paper tray and a 50-sheet rear paper tray. It has both wireless and wired connectivity and works with various wireless printing protocols, including Apple AirPrint and Mopria. This model scans and copies up to legal size documents, but it lacks an automatic document feeder.
The Canon Maxify MegaTank GX7021 is an ideal all-in-one printer for a high-volume home office or a family with a lot of diverse printing needs. Its refillable ink tanks can print up to 6,000 black and white pages or 14,000 color pages before the tanks need to be refilled—making it more cost-effective than cartridge-based inkjet printers. This printer is perfect for high-volume printing, with its 600-sheet plain-paper capacity distributed among three paper trays (two with a 250-sheet capacity in the front and one with a 100-sheet capacity in the back).
The built-in touchscreen provides a simple interface to switch among the print, copy, scan and fax.
