I do like being able to view what you are shooting. I have not been much in favor of the touch screen just because of it"s small size. I guess one could use a rubber tip pen, but haven"t used or tried that. At least they made it, with forethought, to use with all 3"s and 4"s.

• It contains three different back doors that fit around the BacPac. One is open to the back, one is closed and the third has a thin plastic cover that you can see through and use the touch screen. The third one doesn"t work very well for using the touch screen.

• I don"t know exactly how long but it cuts significant battery time out the already abysmal battery. I only use the LCD for taking stills as the video usually has a wide enough lens that I can get the shots I want without the LCD. For video I did get the extended battery pack which helps. • It is made by Go Pro so I"m sure it will, I have the Hero 4 Black and it fits fine. The + series has an lcd option if u haven"t purchased it yet.#GoPro_LCD

• I haven"t seen a specific film to protect it, but the dimensions are 39mm x 57mm there are plenty of trim to fit kits, and the protective film that it shipped with is still on mine almost 9 months still.

• No. The standard housing and door are only for the camera itself. With the lcd attached you will need a new door that will fit the lcd when attached to the camera. The doors that come with the lcd are for the new style housing.
