Every supplier of iPhone Parts has their own specification of screens and its very complex to really understand the differences between one supplier"s quality versus another. At RepairPartsUSA we strive to only provide the highest quality screens available. We also wanted to simplify this process and give you specifications on what makes our quality stand out and what to expect.
While both of our quality screens are all high quality, the main difference between the Grade A and the Premium is the quality of the LCD. The LCD on the Premium is comparable to an OEM original screen, while the Grade A screen may have be slightly less bright. The Premium Grade also has a tougher front glass digitizer.
For our wholesale customers you want to be able to offer your clients options on what is best for your customers and your company. Some markets are more competitive than others hence its makes it difficult to compete with the consumer being more price conscious. Every market is different and we understand that. This is why we offer a lifetime warranty on all our products regardless of the screen quality difference. Many Repair Shops offer two different qualities to their consumer to let them choose if they would like to go for the lower priced point repair or a higher price point but better quality for the consumer.
For our retail customers looking to fix their own phones, we understand that sometimes you are looking to fix a device to resell or to hand it down to another family member, which is why we offer both a Grade A version and Premium version. Whether you want a screen similar to a brand new phone, or just looking for a quick fix, RepairPartsUSA has you covered!
As a supplier of wholesale iPhone parts to repair shops nation wide, we understand how important it is to provide only the highest quality products, at the lowest prices possible. Unlike many other sites, or eBay/Amazon sellers, at RepairPartsUSA we test all parts before

The first thing you need to do when your LCD screen gets broken is to check your phone insurance. You’ll need to know whether it covers your cracked screens and the specific conditions that surround them. Doing this helps you make the most out of the money you paid for your phone insurance.
If the insurance covers the LCD screen, arranging for a repair will be straightforward. In a lot of situations, your main issue will involve going about your day without a phone. You can expect it to return within a few days.
Take note, you might still need to pay for the excess charges. The only time problems start is when you can’t get any replacement when your screen breaks. In that case, you’ll need to do the repairs on your own.
A good option while putting your cracked phone to the repair shop is to use an old phone. If you still have your old phone stashed away somewhere, it might be your best bet for now. Look at your drawers and check whether your old phones are still functional.
If your old phones aren’t there anymore, you still have friends and relatives. Ask them if they have gadgets they’re willing to lend. That way, you’ll have something to use while you decide what method to use to repair your cracked LCD screen.
In 2017 alone, around 5 million smartphone owners in the United States broke their phone screens. That shows how likely it is for you to break yours too. Accidents can happen even when people are careful.
It can get difficult, especially when the screen itself cracks instead of the glass cover. Repairing your screen will need you to take it apart using these steps:
Remove your battery cover as well as the battery and all the cards from the device. Once done, you can now unscrew the back of the device as well as remove the screws around the LCD. The screw types will depend on your phone brand and model, but the most common ones include T4, T6, or #00 Phillips screws.
Using a pry stick, take the housing off your device. Insert the stick between the two pieces of housing. Move it around the housing perimeter so the two pieces get disconnected.
Most devices have a cable that runs from the LCD to the control board. Disconnect the cable by lifting up on the connector. You also need to do the same on the cable that runs from the glass to the control board.
Try using a pry stick to remove the LCD from its own housing. Some devices might require you to remove the glass off first. If so, you need to use a heat gun on the glass for about half a minute to make the adhesive loose enough.
It’s important to remember that some devices like the iPhone combine the glass and the LCD together. That’s why it’s important to look at your replacement LCD and see if it also has the glass with it. If they’re connected, there’s no more need to pry them apart.
Put the replacement LCD in the housing of the cracked one. Once you’re finished, you can now reassemble the device. It’s easy as long as you reverse the steps you took when taking it apart.
There is always the option to send your phone to its manufacturer for the repair. But if you don’t want to pay a lot, you should try a local repair shop. The great thing is that it only takes a short Google search to find the ones near your area.
It’s always important to check the customer reviews before you commit your phone to an expert. Not all repair shops are the same. But if you find a skilled technician, you can rest easy since they can repair your screen fast.
In some scenarios, your phone will sustain irreparable damage alongside its LCD screens. You might think that it’s already worthless and hopeless. But the truth is that there are some websites out there that will pay for your broken device.
A good example is the shopping platform eBay. Some people buy broken phones since they want to salvage other parts to repair their own phone. It won’t net you a lot of money, but you can at least save some money when you need to buy new phones.
Some will also give you credit if you’re buying a used phone. Keep in mind that you might get a better deal if you take that instead of getting cash. But it’s only good if you’re buying a used device.
You have a lot of options if your phone’s LCD screen gets broken. No matter what you choose for your LCD phone screen repair, keep in mind that these options are always available for you. Look for the best option and commit to it as soon as you can.
However, if the digitizer or LCD is also damaged during a fall, that screen no longer carries value because it cannot be refurbished. Repair shops cannot sell broken LCDs to refurbishing companies; therefore, they cannot offset the cost of an LCD repair. That is why repair stores often charge a little extra if there is damage to the LCD or digitizer, to make up for that loss. Repair stores that don’t have an additional charge for an LCD repair typically inflate their glass repair price to make up for the loss from damaged LCDs. If they have one price, that means everyone is paying more to cover the cost of customers who have damaged LCDs and customers who only have cracked glass. This is why TCR separates the price of glass and LCD repairs for you! If you only have cracked glass, you only have to worry about paying to replace the cracked glass.
If your phone or tablet’s glass is shattered there will be cracks or chips on the screen itself. If it is just the glass that is damaged, the device may still function and you may be able to use it normally. If this is the case, it is likely that only the glass needs to be replaced. To prevent further damage to your device it is best to get it repaired quickly. For example, if liquids seep through the cracks it could cause permanent damage to the LCD.
Many people may continue to use their touchscreen with shattered glass and delay fixing the glass on their devices; however, if the touchscreen isn’t responsive, it could be a sign of more significant damage to the device’s digitizer which is integrated with the LCD screen.
A pixelated screen can indicate LCD damage. This would look like a patch of multicolored dots, a line or lines of discoloration, or a screen with rainbow colors. For many people, these colors are an easy way to know that their LCD is broken and that they should get it repaired.
Dropping your phone isn’t the only reason you’ll end up with a pixelated screen. Over time, your screen’s LCD may break down through regular use. This happens to other devices aside from your smartphone or tablet. Pixelation can happen to TVs and computers, too. People typically decide to buy a new device when this happens. Fortunately, with an LCD repair, you can fix the device without needing to replace it.
A black screen or black spots on your smartphone or tablet is an indication of a damaged LCD. Often with a bad LCD, a phone may still turn on and make noises, but there is no clear picture. This does not necessarily mean any other part of the phone is damaged and a simple screen replacement will get it functioning again. Sometimes it can mean a battery or other internal component is damaged. It is best to have a highly qualified phone repair technician diagnose what is wrong so the appropriate repair can be made.
Fortunately, your mobile device is fixable whether you cracked the glass or damaged the LCD. Stop by or call TCR: Triangle Cellular Repair at (919) 263-2699 for a free diagnostic and quick, affordable cell phone repair in Chapel Hill and surrounding areas. We’re always happy to help!

Before you bring your phone in for repairs, back up data, remove the SIM card, and factory reset your phone. A factory reset deletes all data saved on your phone. If you can"t factory reset your phone, log out of your Google Account on the phone:
If you can"t turn on your phone to reset it or your phone isn"t factory reset when you bring it to a repair partner, they"ll reset it for you. Remember to keep your SIM card.
During your visit, the partner will check the warranty status of your phone, inspect it to confirm the damage reported, and give you the cost of the repair. Most repairs can be completed same-day.
If damage is found during inspection that increases the repair cost, the partner will reach out to you to approve the new cost before the repair starts. Partial repairs aren"t available.
For out-of-warranty devices or damage types, you"ll find the estimated repair cost on the last page before you confirm the purchase and create the repair order.
Your own packaging: Use the repair order email to print out the attached shipping label, the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) slip, and battery safety label (in the US) to ship the phone.
If you choose this option, you’re responsible for any damage that might occur to your phone in shipment. Before you mail your phone, make sure to pack it securely. As packaging can differ from customer to customer and there"s a risk that the phone can be damaged in transit, after a successful repair, the repair center will use certain sturdy boxes to ship your phone.
Prepaid packaging: Once you place your repair order, the prepaid packaging takes 1–2 business days to arrive and contains padding to keep the phone secure. Print out the RMA slip and shipping label you received in the instruction email to ship the phone.
Before you send or bring your phone for repairs, back up your phone, remove the SIM card, then factory reset your phone. A factory reset deletes all data saved on your phone. If you can"t factory reset your phone, log out of your Google Account on the phone:
If you can"t turn on your phone to reset it or your phone isn"t factory reset when you bring it to a repair partner, they"ll reset it for you. Remember to keep the SIM card with you before you ship your phone.
If we find other damage that wasn"t in the original order and the repair cost increases, we"ll ask you to approve the new cost before the start of the repair.
If you don"t respond within 10 days or you reject the updated order, your repair order is canceled. Your phone is returned to you unrepaired, and you aren"t charged.
You can also get genuine Google parts from iFixit to repair a Pixel phone yourself. We recommend that only users with relevant technical experience repair their own phones.

How much does it cost to fix a phone screen? And what"s the best option to get it repaired? Answering these questions seems like it should be easy, but with so many phone models and several repair options, it can get a little complicated.
A phone screen repair cost can vary depending on a few factors such as brand, model, and extent of the damage. This article will focus on the price difference between repair services, but it"s worth keeping these other factors in mind if you find yourself wondering why an iPhone 5s costs less to repair than an iPhone 13 for example.
If you want to know how much it cost to replace a phone screen, start by asking the manufacturer of your phone. For both Samsung and Apple phones, you have the option of getting your phone fixed through their official repair services. Benefits of this service include original parts, testing to ensure it"s restored to factory standards, and sometimes even repair warranties.
Repairing an Apple iPhone screen can cost anywhere between $129 to $329, with the iPhone 5 being the cheapest and the iPhone 13 coming in at the most expensive repair.
Meanwhile, an Android screen repair cost for Samsung phones ranges from $79 to $599 depending on the phone model. Samsung will repair phones as far back as the Galaxy A01 for the lowest price, but to repair the Galaxy Fold inner screen you will be paying the most expensive repair price.
Going direct to the manufacturer to repair your broken screen means that you get certified original phone parts and authorized service providers, but that doesn"t mean you should dismiss third-party repair shops. This is especially true if you want to save a bit of money.
While the prices will differ from place to place, using a repair calculator like Swappa can give you some ballpark estimates. As an example, an iPhone Xs can cost about $188, compared with Apple"s repair cost of $279.
On the other hand, a third-party repair for a Galaxy S8 will cost $223 while Samsung"s price is $219, making it a better choice to go with the manufacturer.
Another consideration to keep in mind is that, unlike the original phone manufacturer, third-party repair shops can replace just the front glass if that"s all that is broken, saving you a fair bit of money in the process (these prices might not be listed). If you suspect that only the glass is damaged, make sure to ask your local service provider if it"s possible to get a screen-only replacement.
To find a third-party phone repair shop, try your local mall, or else search Google Maps for a phone repair service near you. Another option is to ask an electronics shop if they can recommend a good repair service, or try an online repair calculator like Swappa which will show you a map of local repair businesses.
If you"re really on a budget, you could consider repairing the phone screen on your own. The upside is that the cost of materials and tools can be significantly cheaper than having a professional repair done. But the obvious downside is: you"re probably not a professional.
You can buy complete phone repair kits from places like iFixit, which include all the tools you need. While there isn"t a repair kit for every phone model, prices range from about $75 for an iPhone SE to $125 for an iPhone 11 repair kit.
It doesn"t always make sense to do a DIY repair, however. If you"ve never done your own repair then paying extra to have a professional handle it might just be easier.
On the other hand, when you can pay just $90 instead of $279 to replace your iPhone XS by doing it yourself, then you might want to give it a go. And in some cases like the Galaxy S6, Samsung doesn"t list it as a model that can be repaired through its service.
Now you should have a general understanding of how much it costs to repair a phone screen. You can head straight for a manufacturer repair, try searching for trusted third-party services, or attempt a DIY repair job.
Each option has its own benefits and drawbacks, depending on whether money, quality, or even a DIY learning experience is your main concern. But overall, there"s likely one route that will suit you best.

If nothing is visible, make sure the latest software update is installed on your device. In addition, try some basic troubleshooting by turning your phone on and off while leaving it unplugged.

Once a phone has water damage — from small spills to a full liquid plunge — there’s often no easy fix. The first step should be to check if your smartphone’s Liquid Contact Indicator has been activated. Most models, including Apple, LG and Samsung, have small visible indicators to show whether water damage has occurred. Consider peace of mind for those inevitable accidents with Verizon’s Verizon Protect or Total Mobile Protection. Not only is your phone covered if it gets water damage, you may be eligible for a full replacement that same day.
From the rays in a hot car to a sunny day spent at the beach, high temps and direct sunlight can cause serious and lasting damage to a smartphone. Extreme heat can damage a smartphone’s internal components and result in slower speeds or even loss of data. And often the damage is not visible from the outside.
Before you panic, get your phone back to room temperature and exit all apps. Look over the exterior of the phone to see if the battery, which is especially sensitive to extreme heat, has leaked. And in all future situations, make sure to follow manufacturer recommendations. For example, Apple recommends not using a smartphone in temperatures above 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
“Jose saved my daughters’ computer and me a lot of money. After she dropped it and the screen shattered we thought even the inside was damaged. Jose checked it out replaced the screen and gave me a very reasonable price. the best was that he completed the job in 3 days. i will definitely use him in the future and recommend him to family and friends.”–Joyce G., Davenport, FL
