black friday touch screen monitors manufacturer
Black Friday is a great time for monitor deals. Whether you’re a serious movie buff or a competitive gamer, a good monitor can make a huge difference. And you don’t have to wait until Black Friday to scoop up those delicious deals: The early sales are already here!
4K monitors are great for content creation thanks to their high resolutions and larger screens. Although they’re a good choice for editors who need to see the finer details of their work, there’s really nothing like watching an epic movie on a 4K display, too. So, whether you’re a video editor or a movie buff, we’ve got quite a few options below.
Black Friday is on Friday, Nov 25th 2022. If you consider yourself an avid deals hunter, we’d suggest going online in the early hours to take advantage of the best deals. Deals tend to change and expire at a breakneck pace.
Amazon’s going to have a slew of awesome deals. That’s a given. However, for monitors, you should definitely peruse the main pages of HP, Dell and Lenovo. Personally, I find myself going directly to the manufacturers more often than not. You can also widen your net and scope out other online retailers like Best Buy and Newegg.
Let’s first talk about refresh rate, which is important if you’re looking for a gaming monitor. The refresh rate is how fast a monitor can redraw the image on its screen. The faster the refresh rate, the smoother your visuals will look. For competitive first-person shooters, we’d recommend 120Hz as the minimum rate. Anything higher is good enough for the eSports realm.
Resolution is another important feature to consider. Much like the refresh rate, the higher the number, the better. We’re talking about the quality of images and video here. 1080p is the bare minimum for most monitors. However, if you’re a video editor, bumping the resolution up to 4K makes a massive difference, as it allows you to see more detail.
The final thing is the screen size. 27 inches is the most common and a good size for a home office. For gaming monitors, 24 or 27 inches is best. Sometimes a larger screen causes eye strain and if you’re going to be staring at one for hours, it’s better to go a bit smaller. For 4K monitors, 32-inches is a good option, as it gives you quite a bit of screen to work with.
PCWorld reviews new monitors every month. So, if you want to see the models we’ve rated the highest, check out our rankings for the best monitors of 2022. We also have more granular picks on the best gaming monitors, as well as the best 4K monitors for desktop workstations. Come Black Friday, a lot of our top picks may be on sale, so don’t limit your shopping only to the deals we’ve called out above.
Now that Black Friday is over, it’s easy to worry you’ve missed out on all the best deals. But if you’re in the market for a new monitor, the good news is there are a ton of Black Friday monitor deals still on! With so many Black Friday deals available right now, we’ve picked out some great options for many different situations. That includes gaming monitors, budget-priced screens for working on, and everything else in between. Whether you’re looking to improve your gaming experience or simply expand your desktop with a second monitor, this is the time to do it. Read on while we take you through the great options we’ve picked out.
Everybody knows Dell as a computer maker, but the brand also offers some of the best monitors around — especially for those on a budget. If all you need is a no-frills, no-nonsense 1080p display for a work desktop and you want to spend around 100 bucks, look no further than the Dell SE2422H. This 22-inch monitor sports a Full HD VA panel with a 75Hz refresh rate. That’s not going to set the world on fire, but that’s not what this monitor is intended to do. It’s perfectly good enough for work, school, and other productivity tasks, and does it without putting too big of a dent in your bank account thanks to early Black Friday monitor deals knocking the price down to less than a single Benjamin. Just hook it up to your PC via VGA or HDMI and you’re ready to rock.
Black Friday Dell deals include a solid bargain on this 27-inch monitor, so if you’re looking for something a bit bigger than your standard 22-inch and 24-inch displays, the Dell SE2722H might scratch that itch. It’s very similar to the 22-inch Dell SE2222H in terms of specs, featuring a 1080p VA panel with a 75Hz refresh rate. Nothing groundbreaking, but at 27 inches diagonally, the Dell SE2722H gives you more screen real estate to work with than what you normally get with cheap monitors in this price bracket. An anti-glare coating and Dell’s ComfortView technology (which reduces harsh light in the evening hours) also make it comfortable to work on for extended periods. At this price, the 27-inch Dell SE2722H is a very solid work monitor for not a lot of money.
Looking to take your desktop workstation into the world of 4K? The 27-inch Dell S2721QS monitor lets you make the jump to Ultra HD without spending a small fortune. The display, which boasts a resolution of 3840 x 2160, is also an IPS panel, delivering a more color-accurate picture and wider viewing angles than standard TN and VA panels (which are more common, less expensive monitors, like those above). This 4K display also has some nice extra features such as AMD FreeSync, support for HDR playback, and ComfortView, making it suitable for multimedia use. If you’re looking for a jack-of-all-trades 4K monitor for a very reasonable price, early Black Friday monitor deals mark this one down to less than $300.
Want to go even bigger? The Dell S3221QS is a plus-sized monitor that would be an ideal upgrade to any desktop workstation. It’s a 4K display, too, with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz. The VA panel is curved, which is something we like to see with a monitor of this size. That gentle curvature offers a more comfortable and immersive viewing angle when you’re sitting close (which you likely are if you’re sitting at a desk), whereas a standard flat-paneled monitor of this size can cause that “washing out” effect at the edges of the screen when you’re looking at it head-on. A 3000:1 contrast ratio, support for more than a billion colors, three input ports (two HDMI 2.0 and one DisplayPort), AMD FreeSync, and HDR support tick the boxes of pretty much everything we look for in a 4K monitor in this price bracket.
If you’re specifically interested in a display built especially for gaming, then you want something more than your standard work monitor. Vertical sync technologies, higher refresh rates, and higher response times are a few things to look for in a gaming monitor, and the massive, 49-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 has them all. We ranked the last-gen 1440p model among the best gaming monitors, but this one outperforms it thanks to its 4K UHD panel. The Odyssey Neo G9 also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for a smooth picture free of screen-tearing, while its slick 240Hz refresh rate lets you crank up the framerate without issue. The 1ms response time virtually eliminates input lag, as well — and did we mention that that gorgeous 49-inch 4K panel is curved, for an even more immersive gaming experience? It’s not cheap, but the Odyssey Neo G9 will be the last gaming monitor you need to buy for a long, longtime, and ongoing Black Friday monitor deals lessen the hit to your wallet.

When will the best Black Friday monitor deals start in 2022?Black Friday will be on November 25 this year and, as per tradition, we expect to see some excellent sales before then. Traditionally the best discounts have been on the day itself and though that’s still generally true, recent years have seen an increase in retailers launching Black Friday pricing earlier, for instance at the start of Thanksgiving week if not before.
Even before that week, there are plenty of sales in the month leading up to the special day, with some as early as October. Based on last year’s deals, some of them can be either nearly or even equal to the deals on and around Black Friday. And that’s a pattern that should repeat itself this year.
One of the most things to be aware of as you search for monitor sales on Black Friday is that retailers are trying to push off old stock. This means that you might come across what looks to be a great deal, only to find out later that the monitor is several years old with outdated specs. Of course, that doesn’t make it useless, as most monitors are still perfectly usable.
Keep in mind that monitors at the very least should be 1080p resolution which is the bare minimum HD resolution, preferably 4k if you can afford it but 1080p is still perfectly fine. From there, your needs will vary based on what kind of work you need your monitor for.
Meanwhile, for gaming monitors, the two most important factors other than resolution are refresh rate and response time. For the former, the higher the number the better since it represents the number of times per second that the image refreshes on the screen. Refresh rates of 144Hz and above are particularly good.
If you"re looking for monitors at cheaper prices, be aware that some manufacturers may cut corners with certain other specs in order to lower that price. For instance, one of the inexpensive monitors on sale last year has a subpar sound quality to balance out the other high specs like 4k resolution.Black Friday monitor deals are happening right now, and you can save a good chunk of money with thebest cheap monitor deals.
Science fiction has always served as a window into a potential future, namely in the way of technology. But what was once regulated to episodes of Star Trek is quickly becoming the stuff of reality. Many fixtures of these kinds of shows and books have begun to inspire real-life counterparts, including - but not limited to - touchscreen technology.
One only has to look at how far cell phones have come since their inception. Physical keyboards, like those from BlackBerry, gave people about as much of a solution as is possible for those who found themselves doing more on the devices as they became more advanced. Where tactile options came up short, touchscreens graciously stepped up to bat, providing a much fuller experience. This kind of functionality then spread to tablets, which are considered by many to be rivals of laptops and even standard PCs.
While there are still some things that are best done on a desktop computer, that does not change the fact that many users find themselves longing for the same abilities on their PCs afforded by many of their mobile devices. This is what helped breed the touchscreen monitor market, which has many viable options for people seeking the best of both worlds. With stronger computing power and a finer ability to control actions occurring in the screen, users can get more work done in new and exciting ways.
Traditionally, computer mice are what have allowed us to "touch" in a virtual context, but touchscreen monitors are changing all that. It might be said that the reason that mice were used in the first place was because the technology had not evolved to a responsive enough level to enable that natural solution. Now that people have the touchscreen technology, they want it everywhere.
If one thing is for certain, it is that the burgeoning adoption of touchscreen technology is no fad. Proliferation has already come too far to turn back now, and computer manufacturers are taking notice. Everyone is trying to get a piece of the action, including ELO Touch Solutions, Laiputuo Electronics, Planar, HP, 3M, Touch Systems, ViewSonic, Dell and ACER as well. Getting into the touchscreen monitor game is a no-brainer for the companies involved in this generation of computing. With so many different applications made for touchscreen monitors, options exist for all sorts of interested parties.
Touchscreen monitors are becoming the new standard in both private and enterprise settings. Here are some of the ways they can be leveraged effectively for business: touchscreen monitors for workstations, touchscreen monitors for hospitals, and touchscreen monitors for POS systems.
Newegg offers a large selection of touchscreen monitors which vary according to the type from 5-wire Resistive touchscreen monitors, and Accu Touch touchscreen monitors, to Capacitive touchscreen monitors, and more. Newegg’s wide selections will definitely meet your needs.

Finally, a user-friendly paperless device. Digital documents are right there in portrait mode for quick cross-referencing and editing is made easy with copy-paste functionality across different screens.

The cornucopias are in the display windows and there are turkeys on the grocery store shelves. Thanksgiving is on its way, and with it comes Black Friday, the biggest shopping day in the USA. Shoppers wait all year for steep discounts and bargains for their holiday shopping, with electronics, fashion, appliances, furniture, and entertainment among some of the most popular consumer goods. But Black Friday is also known for bringing chaos to malls and big box stores across the States, and increasingly overseas. Every year, there are reports of stores wrecked by crowds, stampedes, and even fatal violence.
But can touch screen retail kiosks handle the Black Friday crowds; only in the last year have major retailers with big Black Friday crowds like Wal-Mart and Target made big pushes to incorporate more self-check outs in their stores. On one hand, touch screen retails kiosks are proven to reduce waiting times in lines, which may be able to improve customer experiences in stores typically overwhelmed by Black Friday business. With the right security measures and staff to monitor self-checkouts, they have the potential to transform Black Friday experiences.
How will touch screens hold up when Black Friday crowds get out of hand and a stampede or violence breaks out? At A D Metro, we build touch screens that are designed to handle the worst, and we know what our touch screens can handle. Anytime resistive or capacitive touchscreen applications are used in a public setting, they should be built to withstand use and abuse. A D Metro touch screens are some of the toughest available, strengthened by high-quality, two-layer glass, enhanced glass thickness, and enhanced substrates.
Outdoor use or unmonitored use demands touch screens that can hold up to vandalism, weather, extreme winter and summer temperatures, and more. We use our unique weatherproof ULTRA resistive touch screen technology in outdoor kiosk and digital signage applications where the touch screen is exposed to rain, snow, sleet, and vandalism. Retail kiosks, ATMs, and digital signage are valuable technology, but replacement costs can make them impractical. That’s why our design team at A D Metro is committed to building stronger touch screens. Whether or not touch screen retail kiosks will stand up to rowdy Black Friday crowds isn’t a matter of security, it’s the strength of the touch screens used. If you’re building self-checkout solutions for retailers, consider A D Metro as your touch screen supplier.

Marketed at commercial and educational settings as well as home use, the TD2230 boasts a 7H hardness-rated protective glass for extra scratch protection and durability. Super-thin screen bezels give the panel a modern, sleek look, plus there are integrated stereo speakers for added versatility.
The ViewSonic TD2230 boasts upmarket image quality thanks to its IPS LCD display that provides better color and contrast consistency, regardless of your viewing position, while the 1920 x 1080 screen res is high enough for crisp image clarity when spread across the 21.5-inch panel size. 250 cd/m2 max brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio are pretty typical, while HDMI, DisplayPort and analog VGA connectors ensure you"ll be able to hook this monitor to pretty much any computer running Windows 10, Android or Linux.
Want a larger than average touch screen monitor? This 27-inch offering is our pick, as it"s based around an IPS LED-backlit display. That translates more dependable color accuracy and contrast that won"t shift depending on whether you"re viewing the centre of the screen or the corners.
The Full HD resolution is spread a little thin across a 27-inch display, so images will look slightly pixelated, but this is an unavoidable compromise you have to make if you want a touch screen monitor larger than 24 inches. The PCT2785 does score well in terms of versatility though, as you get a built-in HD webcam and microphone, making it great for homeworking(opens in new tab) and video conferencing.
The T272HL boasts a slightly above-average 300cd/m2 brightness, along with 10-point capacitive multi-touch. There are also a pair of 2w internal speakers, and the stand allows a large 10-60 degrees of tilt to enhance touch ergonomics.
If you"re after a larger-than-average touch screen monitor, the T272HL is a reasonable choice, but there are compromises to be made. For starters, this is still a 1920 x 1080 Full HD monitor, so while it may be physically larger than a 23/24-inch Full HD display, images will simply look larger, not more detailed.
If you can get past the uninspiring black plastic design of the Philips 242B9T, this touch screen monitor has a lot to offer. It should be easy to connect to pretty much any computer, thanks to its full array of HDMI, DVI, VGA and DisplayPort connectivity and included cables for all but DVI. It"s even got its own built-in 2W stereo speakers, while the clever Z-hinge stand allows a huge -5 to 90 degrees of tilt adjustment, making it extra-ergonomic when using the 10-point capacitive multi-touch display.
At 21.5 inches, the Asus VT229H is one of the smaller touch screen monitors on this list, but it still sports the same Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution as larger 24 and even 27-inch touch screen displays, meaning you get more pixels per inch and slightly crisper image quality. This is also an IPS LCD, with wide 178 x 178-degree viewing angles and reliably consistent color and contrast, regardless of your viewing angle.
Most touch screen monitors are just that: a monitor, with a touch interface. But this 21.5-inch display also adds a pair of 2W stereo speakers for sound output, along with dual-array microphones and a built-in webcam for video conferencing. The IPS LCD display panel ensures decent color and contrast uniformity, while the Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution is easily enough to for crisp image quality on a screen this size.
The square black exterior is typical of Lenovo"s business-orientated products and may not be to everyone"s taste. Plus you"ll need to connect via DisplayPort only, as there"s no HDMI input. But otherwise this touch screen monitor offers a lot for a very reasonable price.
The obvious drawback with a touch screen monitor is the aforementioned size restrictions because if you want one larger than 27 inches, you"re out of luck. The next step up in size for touch screen monitors are 50+ inch displays designed for corporate presentations rather than home computing.
Even most 27-inch touch screen monitors have the same Full HD 1920 x 1020 resolution as their smaller 21-24-inch stablemates. So you"re not actually getting more pixels, only bigger ones. This can make your images just look more blocky unless you sit further away from the screen.
It"s not just outright screen resolution where touch screen monitors can fall short of their non-touch alternatives. Top-end screens designed for image and video editing are often factory color calibrated: they use LCD displays that can display a huge range of colors, or feature fast refresh rates for smoother video playback and gaming. However, touch screen monitors aren"t intended for color-critical image or video work: they tend to be all-purpose displays designed for more general applications like web browsing and basic image viewing.
Connectivity also tends to be compromised on touch screen monitors. You can forget about USB-C hubs(opens in new tab) with Power Delivery, and even DisplayPort connections can be a rarity.
These are the two primary forms of touch input. Resistive touch requires you to physically press the screen (which itself is slightly spongy) for it to register an input. It"s a cheaper form of touch input, and a resistive touch screen is also tougher than a capacitive equivalent, so they"re popular for use in ATMs and retail checkouts.
However, resistive technology doesn"t support multi-touch and won"t give the same fluid sensitivity as the touch screens we"re now accustomed to on phones and tablets. Consequently, most modern touch screen monitors use capacitive touch screens supporting 10-point multi-touch. These operate exactly like a phone or tablet"s touch screen, requiring only a light tap, swipe, or pinch to register inputs. All the monitors on this list use 10-point capacitive touch screens.
Put simply, even the best iMacs(opens in new tab) and MacBooks(opens in new tab) don"t support touch screen monitors. Consequently, all the touch screen monitors on this list will only work with Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and some Linux and Android operating systems.
Not all LCD monitors are created equal. LCD displays use three types of construction - IPS (In-Plane Switching), VA (Vertical Alignment), and TN (Twisted Nematic). Each one of these three LCD types exhibits noticeably different image quality characteristics, clearly visible to the average user.
For image and video editing, TN-based monitors should really be avoided. These are the cheapest to manufacture and deliver compromised image quality thanks to their restrictive viewing angles. This results in highly uneven color and contrast across the screen, effectively hiding shadow and highlight detail in your images. IPS-based monitorsare the gold standard for image quality. These produce color and contrast that doesn"t shift depending on which part of the screen you look at, making image editing much more precise. Most of the touch screen monitors on this list are IPS-based, and the rest are VA-based monitors. These can"t quite match the image quality of an IPS monitor but are much more color-accurate than a TN screen.Round up of today"s best deals
