I"ve contacted their customer support and their recommended list of things to check I already knew about and had tried. Given that others have experienced very similar problems, and within the same time frame of owning a TCL TV, there is either a design fault or the updates being put out are causing these problems and we shouldn"t have to pay to have them repaired or have to buy a new TV. A TV bought in 2016/2017 should last longer than 4, 5 years.
