Somewhere along the line telling the computer which USB device is the touchinput for which monitor something goes wrong. I think it has something to do with having two touchinput devices on the same internal hub.
This is what I think happening: You tell windows to have monitor A linked to the touchinput device 1 on port 1 on hub 1, and monitor B linked to touchinput device 1 on port 2 on internal hub 1. Somehow windows only remembers device 1 on internal hub 1, linking
to fix it you should find a usb port that is connected to an other internal hub. so where monitor A is linked to touchinput device 1 on usb port 1 on internal hub 1, monitor B will be recognized as touchinput 1 on usb port 1 and internal hub 2.
if after the switch your inputs are linked to the wrong monitor, you can use the "Tablet-PC" tool in windows to point out which input should link which monitor.

Microsoft"s Windows 8 introduced some interesting new user interface paradigms, but it did so on a very limited selection of screens. To have a compelling touch experience, you pretty much needed to have a laptop or tablet with a low-resolution display larger than 10 inches. Here at the company"s Build conference, though, the company"s trying to let us have our cake and eat it too, scaling the interface to high-density displays, huge desktop monitors, and diminutive 8-inch tablets. This week, we got to try all of those out on the Build expo floor.
Acer"s Iconia W3, an 8-inch tablet given free to all Build attendees, is a gift horse whose teeth are hard to ignore. It"s surprisingly heavy, a little unwieldy, and the 8-inch screen is extremely poor. Still, that 1280 x 800 screen and Atom processor let us check out how the Windows 8.1 Preview runs on smaller tablets, and the results are actually pretty good. It"s the same interface you"d expect, only small enough to fit in a purse and with some important tweaks on top.
For one thing, the virtual keyboard"s been specifically redesigned for portrait layout, and alongside Windows 8.1"s new autocomplete feature (just slide your finger along the spacebar) typing isn"t particularly tough in "Metro" mode. In landscape orientation, you can snap two apps side by side, and in 50:50 mode each has enough real estate to be useful. You can"t do that sort of multitasking on your average Android or iOS slate. The build we tried was definitely not ready for primetime, with bugs and stuttering here and there, but it unmistakably felt like a real computer in a portable package rather than an upsized mobile experience.
On the other end of the spectrum, laptops and tablets with high pixel density are indeed more usable. When we reviewed the Toshiba Kirabook, a premium 13-inch Intel ultrabook with a lovely, super high resolution 2560 x 1440 touchscreen display, we had to note that the same high resolution made it difficult to use certain apps and parts of the operating system. However, with Windows 8.1 scaled to 200 percent resolution, effectively doubling the pixels in every image on screen, the UI becomes large enough that it"s way, way easier to tap icons, drag windows, and select options in menus with just your thumbs. The same goes for the 11-inch Acer Aspire S7, a tiny laptop with a 1080p resolution, and desktop monitors as well, which can have their scaling configured independently of other displays. While Windows app developers will need to make sure their apps support 200 percent scaling in order to avoid a blurry mess, many Windows elements already look great as of the Windows 8.1 Preview build.
While both the Kirabook and Aspire S7 have real physical keyboards attached to their screens, many tablets do not, and so we were also happy to see that Windows 8.1"s virtual keyboard is now sized appropriately for each computer"s screen. With any luck the full version of Windows 8.1, releasing this fall, will assist Sony in finally driving the nail into the coffin of ugly low-res computer displays.

There are loads of combinations to choose from when it comes to setting up a dual monitor workstation. The tips below are for those of you who need to know:
Instruct your operating system how to manage multiple monitors. In Windows that means navigating to your desktop, selecting display settings, and choosing your preferred display arrangement. If you want your displays to function as one continuous screen, you’ll need to select extend these displays.
Select which monitor you want on the left and which you want on the right to avoid any complications when scrolling across screens with your mouse. You can do this by dragging the screen icons accordingly. If you get your monitors in a jumble your mouse will not work intuitively.
Make sure whichever screen you have to the left is identified as screen 1 and whichever screen you have placed to the right is identified as screen two. If, at a later date, you choose to switch around your desk set up, make sure you recalibrate your monitors accordingly.
You’re almost there. It’s time to set the screen resolution. Select on the numbered screen you wish to adjust and click advanced display settings at the bottom of the dialogue box. Drop down to resolution and set your desired screen resolution according to your personal preferences.
Now set your display style. Do you want your secondary monitor to mirror your primary monitor, do you want to expand your desktop across each monitor, or do you want to temporarily disable one of your monitors? Simply select the monitor you wish to adjust and select your chosen option.
Last but not least, think about positioning. Most people will want their mouse to scroll left to right across your monitors. In this case, make sure that monitor 1 is on the left and monitor 2 is on the right. Once again you can do this by dragging the numbered monitors on the display screen.

If the issue persists on the other monitor it may be due to the video card (GPU) or video settings and not the monitor, go to the step Verify display or video issue in Windows Safe Mode. Else go to the next step.
Performance issues may occur if there is any type of damage that is caused to the display cables or the LCD screen. LCD screen may show that symptoms like LCD screen stops working, work intermittently, color mismatch, flickering, display horizontal or vertical lines if there is damage to the display cables or the LCD screen.
Dell monitors provide a self-test feature check (SFTC) and an integrated self-test (BIST) or integrated diagnostic (BID) tool that helps determine if the screen abnormality you are experiencing is an inherent problem with the Dell monitor or with the video card (GPU) and computer settings.
When you notice screen abnormalities like flickering, distortion, clarity issues, fuzzy or blurry image, horizontal or vertical lines, color fade, it is a good practice to isolate the monitor by running a diagnostic test on the Dell monitor.
NOTE: Self-test feature check (SFTC) helps check if the Dell monitor is working normally as a stand-alone device. To check for screen abnormalities such as flickering, distortion, clarity issues, fuzzy or blurry image, horizontal or vertical lines, color fade, and so on, run the integrated self-test (BIST) or integrated diagnostic (BID) test.

Windows 10 is a major release of Microsoft"s Windows NT operating system. It is the direct successor to Windows 8.1, which was released nearly two years earlier. It was released to manufacturing on July 15, 2015, and later to retail on July 29, 2015.MSDN and TechNet, as a free upgrade for retail copies of Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 users via the Windows Store, and to Windows 7 users via Windows Update. Windows 10 receives new builds on an ongoing basis, which are available at no additional cost to users, in addition to additional test builds of Windows 10, which are available to Windows Insiders. Devices in enterprise environments can receive these updates at a slower pace, or use long-term support milestones that only receive critical updates, such as security patches, over their ten-year lifespan of extended support.Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) will end on October 14, 2025.
Windows 10 received generally positive reviews upon its original release. Critics praised Microsoft"s decision to provide the desktop-oriented interface in line with previous versions of Windows, contrasting the tablet-oriented approach of Windows 8, although Windows 10"s touch-oriented user interface mode was criticized for containing regressions upon the touch-oriented interface of its predecessor. At the Build Conference in April 2014, Microsoft"s Terry Myerson unveiled an updated version of Windows 8.1 (build 9697) that added the ability to run Windows Store apps inside desktop windows and a more traditional Start menu in place of the Start screen seen in Windows 8. The new Start menu takes after Windows 7"s design by using only a portion of the screen and including a Windows 7-style application listing in the first column. The second column displays Windows 8-style app tiles. The keynote featured the unveiling of Cortana integration within the operating system, new Xbox-oriented features, Windows 10 Mobile, an updated Office Mobile suite, Surface Hub—a large-screened Windows 10 device for enterprise collaboration based upon Perceptive Pixel technology,HoloLens‑augmented reality eyewear and an associated platform for building apps that can render holograms through HoloLens.
Additional developer-oriented details surrounding the "Universal Windows Platform" concept were revealed and discussed during Microsoft"s Build developers" conference. Among them were the unveiling of "Islandwood", which provides a middleware toolchain for compiling Objective-C-based software (particularly iOS) to run as universal apps on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. A port of Candy Crush Saga made using the toolkit, which shared much of its code with the iOS version, was demonstrated, alongside the announcement that the King-developed game would be bundled with Windows 10 at launch.
At the 2015 Ignite conference, Microsoft employee Jerry Nixon stated that Windows 10 would be the "last version of Windows", a statement that Microsoft confirmed was "reflective" of its view of the operating system being a "service" with new versions and updates to be released over time.Windows 11–and that Windows 10 support will end on October 14, 2025.

On Windows 10, the Microsoft Store serves as a unified storefront for apps, video content, and eBooks.web apps and desktop software (using either Win32 or .NET Framework) to be packaged for distribution on the Microsoft Store. Desktop software distributed through Windows Store is packaged using the App-V system to allow sandboxing.
A new iteration of the Start menu is used on the Windows 10 desktop, with a list of places and other options on the left side, and tiles representing applications on the right. The menu can be resized, and expanded into a full-screen display, which is the default option in Tablet mode.
Windows 10 is designed to adapt its user interface based on the type of device being used and available input methods. It offers two separate user interface modes: a user interface optimized for mouse and keyboard, and a "Tablet mode" designed for touchscreens. Users can toggle between these two modes at any time, and Windows can prompt or automatically switch when certain events occur, such as disabling Tablet mode on a tablet if a keyboard or mouse is plugged in, or when a 2-in-1 PC is switched to its laptop state. In Tablet mode, programs default to a maximized view, and the taskbar contains a back button and hides buttons for opened or pinned programs by default; Task View is used instead to switch between programs. The full screen Start menu is used in this mode, similarly to Windows 8, but scrolls vertically instead of horizontally.
Windows 10 incorporates multi-factor authentication technology based upon standards developed by the FIDO Alliance.biometric authentication through the Windows Hello platform. Devices with supported cameras (requiring infrared illumination, such as Intel RealSense) allow users to log in with iris or face recognition, similarly to Kinect. Devices with supported readers allow users to log in through fingerprint recognition. Support was also added for palm-vein scanning through a partnership with Fujitsu in February 2018.asymmetric encryption.
In 2017, researchers demonstrated that Windows Hello could be bypassed on fully-updated Windows 10 version 1703 with a color printout of a person"s picture taken with an IR camera.
In addition to biometric authentication, Windows Hello supports authentication with a PIN. By default, Windows requires a PIN to consist of four digits, but can be configured to permit more complex PINs. However, a PIN is not a simpler password. While passwords are transmitted to domain controllers, PINs are not. They are tied to one device, and if compromised, only one device is affected. Backed by a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip, Windows uses PINs to create strong asymmetric key pairs. As such, the authentication token transmitted to the server is harder to crack. In addition, whereas weak passwords may be broken via rainbow tables, TPM causes the much-simpler Windows PINs to be resilient to brute-force attacks.
When Windows 10 was first introduced, multi-factor authentication was provided by two components: Windows Hello and Passport (not to be confused with the Passport platform of 1998). Later, Passport was merged into Windows Hello.
The enterprise edition of Windows 10 offers additional security features; administrators can set up policies for the automatic encryption of sensitive data, selectively block applications from accessing encrypted data, and enable Device Guard—a system which allows administrators to enforce a high-security environment by blocking the execution of software that is not digitally signed by a trusted vendor or Microsoft. Device Guard is designed to protect against zero-day exploits, and runs inside a hypervisor so that its operation remains separated from the operating system itself.
The console windows based on Windows Console (for any console app, not just PowerShell and Windows Command Prompt) can now be resized without any restrictions, can be made to cover the full screen by pressing Alt+↵ Enter, and can use standard keyboard shortcuts, such as those for cut, copy, and paste. Other features such as word wrap and transparency were also added. These functions can be disabled to revert to the legacy console if needed.
The Anniversary Update added Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), which allows the installation of a user space environment from a supported Linux distribution that runs natively on Windows. The subsystem translates Linux system calls to those of the Windows NT kernel (only claims full system call compatibility as of WSL 2, included in a later Windows update). The environment can execute the Bash shell and 64-bit command-line programs (WSL 2 also supports 32-bit Linux programs and graphics, assuming supporting software installed,Ubuntu-based environment; Microsoft announced in May 2017 that it would add Fedora and OpenSUSE environment options as well.
To reduce the storage footprint of the operating system, Windows 10 automatically compresses system files. The system can reduce the storage footprint of Windows by approximately 1.5GB for 32-bit systems and 2.6GB for 64-bit systems. The level of compression used is dependent on a performance assessment performed during installations or by OEMs, which tests how much compression can be used without harming operating system performance. Furthermore, the Refresh and Reset functions use runtime system files instead, making a separate recovery partition redundant, allowing patches and updates to remain installed following the operation, and further reducing the amount of space required for Windows 10 by up to 12GB. These functions replace the WIMBoot mode introduced on Windows 8.1 Update, which allowed OEMs to configure low-capacity devices with flash-based storage to use Windows system files out of the compressed WIM image typically used for installation and recovery.SD card by default.
Windows 10 introduces Microsoft Edge, a new default web browser. It initially featured a new standards-compliant rendering engine derived from Trident, and also includes annotation tools and integration with other Microsoft platforms present within Windows 10.Internet Explorer 11 is maintained on Windows 10 for compatibility purposes, but is deprecated in favor of Edge and, since mid-June 2022, is no longer supported on editions which follow Microsoft"s Modern Lifecycle Policy.Chromium Project and Blink layout engine,EdgeHTML-base
