I have just got that White dirt that cause a weird dot which is probably very rare to get on an LCD screen. As you can see that it it seems to be a stuck or dead pixel. But is not. It has been cause by the white thing that I don"t know what cause it. Yes, I touch it with my finger, and other pointy stuff, and it feels like it"s either seems removable but it isn"t or it"s a scratch (But it"s probably feels different than a normal and deep scratch).

Thanks guys! I just replaced the leds for my tcl 55 inch tv and after bout a week I started seeing the bulbs on the left side of the screen. Since the tv was an awesome find and the bulbs were like 30 bucks on eBay I’m fighting the inevitable being going back in and fixing that plastic deflector post. The screen is extremely fragile so if u don’t wanna pay 14 bucks at Home Depot for them window suction cups that were well worth the money For loners like myself lol, make sure u get another person to help u with the screen panel once it’s been dislodged . Especially if it’s a big honker. Nothing more scary than popping it out by urself and get stuck in a very bad situation as in u can almost hear the crackin of the screen Or knowing that I’d u take one more step this here screen will crack .

I had a ASCEND MATE 7 for a while and after about two months got wild white patches on screen, sold it by the way and bought a new one. This new one even had brighter patches from the beginning!

I think this is the problem with internal batteries, as they are poor quality and after some time of use the battery"s pressing against the back of the LCD ... and the whites appear

Local TV repair outfit, sort of affiliated with Best Buy, said that we are lucky it is only a tiny white dot. Most have a complete piece of junk after similar or worse damage.

I was told that the only fix is replacement of the glass panel. This is $900 plus service and labor. Not really worth it even though I paid a very good price initially. This technician of some measure of experience has, "tried everything", to repair glass panels.

This is my point about a learning experience regarding big screen LED screen technologies. Seems to me there would be enough cases of junked units and wasted investment to start class action lawsuits vs. manufacturers.

I can live with the dot as it doesn"t bother the image on sports...you don"t notice it at all... Movies and dark images are another thing...and i"m a movie buff so part of my T.V. experience is affected.

Thanks to everyone for replying, it"s been some time and i assume to have a solution by now. What i can say is that the flickering dots didn"t show up after i did two main things: i replaced the old sky/ samsung hdmi cables with newer ones and i changed all the connected devices with new version of them.

Before, i had an old tv box with android 4.1 or something close to that, and old samsung blu ray reader from 2012 i think and an old version of a sky decoder, now i have a new tv box with a newer version of android and the new sky q decoder, with this new setup i haven"t seen any dots in a while. What i am assuming without any clue (so don"t take my words ad 100% tre) is that the tv was facing problems with older devices.

Replying to some of the questions you asked me, 1) no the tv isn"t under warranty anymore but it seema that the problem is over and 2) yes, the flickering dots were the same shown in the youtube video. I hope you"ll find a solution too, thank you
