Chapter 3: Types of waterproof monitorPlenty of waterproof monitors are used with touch screens. That’s why many people also called them as water proof touch screens. According to the use environment, such monitors can be divided into two types:

(1). Indoor type. Such type of waterproof monitor is widely used in the places with water or steam, such as car washing station, food processing plant and so on. It has the following features.

Chapter 5: IP rating of waterproof monitorThe waterproof monitor is used in the complex environment. The outdoor types will meet all weathers, such as rain, snow, dust and so on. The IP rating is the best standard to describe the capability that the monitors to protect themselves from damage.

For example, if you need a monitor for your marine boat, then the IP rating is at least IP67. If you want to use a waterproof monitor for your outdoor digital signal, then you can choose the IP65. According to the material, the enclosures can be divided into several types. For small sizes of waterproof monitors, the commonly used materials of enclosures are stainless steel and aluminum. For large sizes, the aluminum enclosures are most commonly used, caused by they are light and easy to be processed.

The small size waterproof monitors are always parts of some products. They are mounted to the brackets of the products. The large size monitors can be wall mounted and freestanding. Chapter 8: FunctionsDoes the waterproof monitor just can be used as a computer monitor? The answer is no. Its function can be rich. The function of such monitor is decided by the control board it uses. Generally speaking, there are two commonly used functions.

2). Used as the multimedia player. Most of large size waterproof monitors are used as outdoor multimedia playing platforms. The monitor has the smart control board with operating system. The control board can be connected to the network via WIFI.
