What I have determined is that there is a break-down in the sealing agent used to attach the LCD glass to the body, which causes a haze-like condition, or perhaps a dust-like situation. My D3 experienced this condition for about a year, until I discovered that there was a fogging moisture condition between the glass and the LCD. As explained in the above linked post, it was fixed by Nikon, even though it was almost 2 years past the expiration of the warranty.

If you have "dust" behind the glass there is probably a break-down of the sealing agent and there may be consequences of moisture evading the LCD area and could cause more damage. I would be very surprised that the dust condition is a result of the manufacturing procedures. I do not want to be an alarmist, but if you eventually experience a fogging like I describe in the above link, I would attend to getting it fixed.

So today I received the screen protector. I was cleaning the Lcd screen to install the protector and I realized that there is a dust inside of the LCD screen. I didn"t even use the camera more than to see if it functions right. It"s totally visible.

First off, avoid corrosive substances! That means no alcohol- or ammonia-based cleaners (like diluted rubbing alcohol or Windex). Finally, you never want to spray your cleaning agent directly onto your monitor. Excess liquid runs the risk of pooling in the corner of your screen, seeping in through tiny weak spots and wreaking havoc on the sensitive materials inside.

1. Blast it — With those words of warning aside, let"s get down to the business of cleaning that monitor. For simple dustings, a blast of compressed air (the same stuff you use to knock dust out of your case fans(opens in new tab)) should do the trick, possibly followed up by a quick dry wipe-down.

2. Wipe it —As for what you wipe with, microfiber cloth is your best friend. Microfiber is extremely soft (at a microscopic level) and known for attracting dust and absorbing oils. 3. Wet it —For a little bit of extra cleaning power, slightly dampen your cloth with distilled water (no impurities to cause accidental damage), but not so much that water can be wrung out of it. If water alone isn"t doing the trick, mix a cleaning solution of 50 percent distilled water, 50 percent white household vinegar. Same deal as before—apply liquid to the cloth, not the screen.
